    Yeah, I think between Bo, Schneider, Barger, Clement and Orelvis, the IF has a chance to be pretty decent next season on the cheap. I’d bet they’ll bring in a utility stopgap type player for 3b just to be safe, but 2b for sure seems like it’s covered nicely

    And the ajays seem to have a lot of pitchers that take way longer to get to the plate, so let’s put the blame where it belongs, on the pitchers. The fact that nearly all catchers have pop times within 9 hundredths of a second is all the info someone should need to understand the catcher is not the problem.

    It’s because of the possibility of a bounce off the wall and the guy from 1st being thrown out eliminated. It’s a weak rule

    Sure, it’s a factor, it’s just not THE factor that people think it is. Pitcher delivery times vary far more than catcher pop times do.

    Kirks is 1.98, Jansen 1.99 Best pop time is 1.83 (realmuto). Moreno is 1.9 People are kidding themselves if they think that .09 and .08 seconds from the catcher is the main factor in a stolen base. Ffs the data is right there for people it just takes a few seconds to look up and an iota of common sense. The pop time difference between 7th and 60th is 0.09 seconds. Pop time is virtually the same through the entire league.

    Tell the pitchers to stop taking an 8 second delivery. The catchers have no chance. It’s amazing people still think people steal bases off catchers.

    I don’t get the hook today either. Just because you have 8 relievers doesn’t mean you have to use 5 every game. This is one where I would have definitely left Berrios in longer
