  1. Vogelbach doesnt have the same opt out choices as Escboar and Votto has since he doesnt have 6 years of service time. He cant refuse an assignment to AAA since he signed a minor league deal. Being a vet though, all he would have to do is ask and theyd probably release him if another team had a spot for him, or he would get traded for cash like Austin Adams did today from the Mets to Oakland.
  2. Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters today, including Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic, that catcher Brian Serven has made the team as the backup to Alejandro Kirk. Serven is not yet on the 40-man roster and will need to be added before the season begins next week.
  3. Taijuan Walker to have an MRI for his shoulder.
  4. I'm glad I stuck around for the Little-Dingler faceoff.
  5. Absolutely. Still don't get the Holliday demotion for Baltimore. The kid belongs.
  6. Lets say he does. What's his FA contract look like in that case knowing he'd be going into his age 31 season in 2025. Something similar to the SS deals from a couple years back in AAV just a bit shorter? 8/250-275?
  7. Dillon Dingler. Outstanding baseball name.
  8. Lets see how Pearson's splitter looks today
  9. Attaboy Turner. THat's what we need all year
  10. Vlads 3 EV's today: 67.7, 74.5, 74.9. All hits. LOL
  11. Vlad is pulling out early right now.
  12. I guess the weird silver lining of it being KK that gets hurt is CF defense doesnt suffer, and the likely replacement for Varsho in LF wont hurt the offense either.
  13. Signing him and Soto in the next offseason would be wonderful. Hell even 1 of the 2 would be excellent.
  14. THat's it, get all the bad throws and bad reads out of the way now before it matters.
  15. Another defense miscue, Springer thought he was out of room and had another 2 steps. Should have had that ball.
  16. Nice to hear the Yariel is ahead of where they thought he'd be.
  17. Maybe just testing to see if it affects their approaches for the better or something, i dunno. Maybe they wont the two higher OBP guys together so Bo and his more aggressive style might be able to take advantage with guys on base more
  18. Biggio back to being passive again. What are you looking for?? All 3 in the happy happy launch zone were called strikes
  19. Wind is a factor, but yeah. Feels like Vlad would have had that foul in any MLB park
  20. Probably saves Lukes for a week or two
  21. Yeah. Even before sending him for an xray I think it's safe to expect he wont be in any more ST games.
  22. That's largely true. But the general truth of "no such thing as bad press" does have limits. Bauer is a prime example right now for MLB
  23. Oh yeah, like it won't destroy the sport or anything that's true. It's just the feeling of not wanting something you love get hurt, even though you know it's not fatal. It's kind of an extension of when your kid falls off a fence and breaks his or her arm. It won't kill them, but still, you'd rather it not happen.
