    I try to be more open minded about recent draftees, but it's certainly lower than most people have him.

    Seeing Zulueta behind Palmegiani and Nunez, both of whom probably aren't even in our top 20, was the first thing that stood out to me. It seems that he's more concerned with raw statistics than age/level. I'm not saying that's wrong, but you see it reflected in several ratings.

    Boston has a better top end with Mayer, Casas, and Rafaela, but their depth is pretty awful. They might have the worst pitching prospects in baseball. New York has better high end prospects and better depth than us in my opinion, but I can understand the argument for the Jays.

    More the latter. What metrics do they use to evaluate prospects, what kind of exercises do their young pitchers do, and stuff like that.

    I expect that an employee leaving on really good terms would have some level of loyalty towards them. I know that I would.

    While Houston had success in large part due to cheating, they also have one of the league's finest development programs. Hopefully Click can bring some of that information to Toronto. He should have no loyalty towards his former team, given the way that they treated him.

    That may be the case for a couple of hitters and pitchers, but I'm willing to watch an extra 10 minutes of playoff baseball if it means that we get a real baseball game and not some controversial win on a technicality like the superbowl and countless other big games.

    You could argue that it has been a little too good, especially recently. Equality was never a promise of capitalism.

    I think it might be advisable to have an extended pitch clock in the playoffs, if only to avoid more 'grey area' situations like when Choo interfered with Martin's throw. That ruins the playoff experience for everyone.

    I can picture some health and safety concerns being raised if a pitcher were to throw when then the batter is not ready.

    There are multiple instances per game where a new ball will be necessary. There's no arguing that point. Who decides when those times are? Will they inspect the ball if the manager protests?

    I have zero confidence that these rules will be applied consistently. While I accept the idea of a pitch clock, putting more subjectivity into the umpires hands will only lead to never ending controversy.

    Masahiro Tanaka was in that range for his rookie season. It's not unheard of.

    Argued by who? He's top 10 so there's always a discussion to be had, but I have never seen anyone make that statement before.

    I guess you don't care. I thought it was interesting. Ed Delahanty died in Canada following a Tigers game after getting drunk and falling off of a train bridge into Niagara Falls.

    The 1895 Phillies put up 22.1 WAR between 3 starters, all of whom are Hall of Famers, and backup Tuck Turner. He had the lowest batting average of the group at .386. The three starters Sam Thompson, Billy Hamilton, and Ed Delahanty, were all top 5 in WAR, scored 446 runs, and stole 170 bases. That's truly outrageous, even for the era.

    It's pretty big in Australia as well. For some reason, it's one of the most popular sports in Iraq.
