  1. Is Pop messing with hitters and the clock? Sure seems like it.
  2. Pop looking really good this season. Hope he can give us multiple innings.
  3. I just want to watch baseball like most fans that travel a long way, but the majority of fans at a game don't, so it will be great for them. Shapiro did a great job.
  4. I thought so too. No blame or anything, but Kirk clearly wasn't ready to start the season, most obviously behind the plate.
  5. If he didn't walk 5 batters and make a bunch of stupid mental errors then it wouldn't really be a problem.
  6. Maybe they need to put DJ with Manoah next start and get a different perspective.
  7. Bo looking a lot more comfortable on these shallow popups. No ill-effects from last season.
  8. Gausman is such a pro, one of my favourites. He clearly put in more preparation during the offseason than some of our other pitchers did.
  9. The lack of mental preparation and focus from Manoah is disturbing.
  10. I can't help but think how much better off we would be if Gausman had taken the pressure starts. Manoah gets too pumped up for these big starts and just can't handle the pressure. He'll learn as his career progresses, but he's not there. Anyone who thinks last inning was a product of reduced velocity wasn't watching very closely. It's 100% mental.
  11. Velo isn't the issue with Alek. He isn't locating the fastball at all. Absolutely embarrassing performance from him.
  12. I think he's just learning to calm down a bit in these situations. He has a way of bringing up the velocity later in games.
  13. Crime Dog killed that first pitch. He'll always be a Blue Jay.
  14. That kind of work should have been done in the offseason and maybe it was. If he's being sent to AAA to rework his pitches at this point then something went seriously wrong. He's tightened up the slider a bit and is throwing it a lot more often in his 5 innings, with good results and way more whiffs. He's struck put 25% of batters too, for what it's worth. I want to see what we have in Pop, I think he might be a big part of this team.
  15. Could also get rid of the asinine and insincere display of pandering that is a 'land acknowledgement'.
  16. Yes. I think Pearson has work to do on his command and that Pop is a really good and useful reliever.
