  1. More defensive miscues by the Yankees, my goodness. Their fan reaction will be glorious if we score here and win.
  2. Unquestionably out. Amazing play by Gimenez!!
  3. Despite the history, I'm surprised to see them pull Weaver for a replacement level reliever. Worked out for them, but George hit a line drive.
  4. We keep throwing these journeymen into big situations and they get the job done. Big credit to Pete Walker, he's truly the best there is.
  5. Re: the deadline, it sure would be nice to have a veteran right bat on the bench instead of Jimenez right now.
  6. Disappointing at-bat from Barger. He even had the platoon advantage due to the Yankees' lack of lefties.
  7. I hate this approach. Schlittler can't throw strikes and we're getting more aggressive with each inning. We should have the same approach as we did against Rodon. Springer has the right idea. Make him come into the zone.
  8. Scherzer has an effective game plan for Judge. He just has to figure out how to pitch to these lefties.
  9. If Springer is hurt then just put in DS now. Don't wait for him to injure himself more.
  10. I personally think he's nibbling and getting a couple calls here and there. I'd like to see us be more patient and let him walk himself into trouble. I really didn't like Loperfido's approach to start this inning.
  11. For whatever reason, we seem to hit 98 better than any other velocity.
  12. Max has stuff and control, but his command is atrocious.
  13. Hopefully our bats can schlautter this rookie.
  14. I'm still surprised by the Jared Spencer thing. I'm not going to try to be smart and say I've scouted him or anything, but the experts had him ranked fairly high and pegged a guy like Dylan Watts and his reliever profile with an 8 ERA as a money saving pick. In the end, Watts got a higher bonus than Spencer. If teams had known he was available for that price, I feel like he would have gone immediately in the 5th round. Either way, it's good for us.
  15. Updated the chart with Baker signing and I think all of undrafted signings that have been reported here, Come on Ty Peeples, $158,530 is a lot of money! 😅
  16. The league's 4 best teams are the Brewers, Tigers, and Jays, and Cubs. Good time to be a fan in the Great Lakes region.
  17. In a playoff scenario, the leftover starter would presumably be your long man. With our veteran rotation and guys cycling through due to injuries, I wouldn't prioritize a long man at the deadline.
  18. I agree about the off-season thing. This isn't a time for a projects. Realistically, we can't add more than 2 relievers. If one is a lefty (which I think it should be), the other should be a real impact guy that we can trust in the 8th inning. If you can set up something like this for the playoffs, it would be amazing. I think it covers you for pretty much injury and some what negates the need to add a starter. 9th: Hoffman/Bednar 8th: Rodriguez/Little 7th: Yimi/Soto 6th:Fisher/Sandlin
