    I love this kind of stuff more than home runs sometimes. We'd have a winning record if they could consistently hit sac flies or grounders to the right side.

    Votto has got to be getting close to being a sure fire Hall of Famer. Led the league in OBP seven times, MVP, Gold Gloves, 2000 hits this season. There's not much more he can do.

    I was composing this message while BTS posted. I won't say any more. I don't even have a friend of a friend who has had the virus, let alone die from it. Watching Covid infect and kill people from afar has been surreal. I'm very fortunate to live in a place where people care about their neighbours and have heeded the public health advice as a result. My heart goes out to people in areas with selfish people that don't care how many people die as long as they have their freedom. I can't imagine how scary and difficult that must be, but it becomes more real every day. Most seniors haven't even received their first shot as the Premier steals our vaccines to give to teenagers in other regions. I hope it won't end up costing lives. Condolences to everyone who has been affected.

    We're not exactly being fair to him asking to face the same team like 6 times in a row and switch back and forth between relief and starting. The velocity has been good and the stuff will play if he gets a consistent role.

    The speed of Vlad Jr gets us a run. Not something I expected to say this year.

    We're looking at slim pickings in the minors. Bergen, Tice, and Luciano are the only roster pitchers left that aren't injured.

    I would have done this trade in the offseason. It's still a value win for us, but quite a bad fit at the moment.

    Ryu is a treat to watch. Give me that any day over a guy pumping 100 mph heat with no idea where it is going. Hopefully Pearson can be a combination of both soon.

    I enjoy a good fastball as much as anyone, but if you don't enjoy a ridiculously slow curve from Greinke or Darvish then you don't like baseball. Some of my favourite recent Jays memories involve Burhrle carving up opponents with a fastball in the 80s.
