    I didn't see the other posts, but this has always been a pretty open forum when it comes to discussing baseball politics. I don't entirely agree that this topic should be out of bounds entirely.

    I haven't fact checked it or anything, but CBC radio said that rent prices have remained stable so that is a plus. Extremely low interest rates have a lot to do with it as well. Hopefully the high prices force people to move to areas with more reasonable prices. It's not good for the province to have the GTA to continuously eat up prime farmland while other communities see a lack of investment and falling population.

    Lack of covid cases here and the rise of remote work must have a lot to do with it. Many people from the Soo have moved to Toronto due to lack of work for decades, but it's a no brainer to move back home if you can keep your job and work remotely.

    I thought it was a joke when the first person came to my door. I've heard of it happening in your area, but the Soo has had the same population for like 50 years, so you don't expect it. I think I could get 400k now after paying 220 for my house. That might not sound like a ton, but 400k would get you a five bedroom house and 30 acre lot on Lake Superior waterfront a few years ago.

    I'm receiving unsolicited offers for my home that are almost double the price I paid for it 3 years ago. Our hotels in the Soo are half full of people who moved here and can't find a home. I've never seen anything like it.

    They're going to make the right call on a first base play 99% of the time, especially with replay. There's no need to argue it like a strike/ball call.

    I don't like when these runners are looking at the umpire and making a safe sign before they even cross the bag. His body is turned almost 90 degrees before he even crosses the bag. Is he safe if he just shuts up and puts his head down?

    Hopefully Matz didn't have any issues keeping warm. We see pitchers struggle after long innings sometimes.
