    This should end any arguments. There are a number of reasons he could have tested positive, even if he is vaccinated.     First dose is what I was referencing. It was in several news articles over the last couple of days. Vaccine supply is no longer a concern in most first world countries. Vaccinating enough people to make it effective seems to be the biggest concern now and we're doing quite well. The reasons for not having baseball in Canada are dying pretty quickly.

    Dusty Baker in his pregame presser says Brantley will probably sit today and Sunday. Bergman is getting a mental break because he has been struggling. He also says we steal third more than any team in the league. I never really noticed, but could be true.

    That would depend entirely on how many plate appearances he has. He needs 484 more over the remainder of the season. That's roughly 4.5 per game, so certainly in play if he comes back now and remains healthy. That seems highly unlikely, however.

    Your logic makes some sense, but then why pinch run for McGuire at all in that case? It seems that he's saving Davis for a specific scenario and when that no longer becomes viable, he changes tact and puts in Davis. I just don't know what that scenario is.

    I doesn't matter now, but I haven't seen an explanation for the pinch running situation last night. For the moment, let's rule out the scenario where he just forgot that Davis existed. Semien hits an RBI double and then you pinch run? Do you pinch run for Bo in any scenario? If Vladdy gets on, he's probably irrelevant or stuck behind a guy on 2B. I just don't get the decision.
