  1. I started Adderall. It helps my mind from wandering and thinking about the universe and such too much. Doesn’t work like a pure stimulant, so maybe I had kind of half ADHD. I talk super fast in person and try to get out too much, too quick. No sort of anti-psychotic/depressant or any of that stuff though. I tried anti-d one time at a certain period in my life and I vividly remember the first couple days in felt like Venom, where like an alien virus was taking over my brain. Very trippy lol. I think those kind of things are meant to numb your mind and mine wasn’t having it I should say I stuck with it for a bit, but definitely found it numbed my wits.
  2. Not even saying be a sociopath here. Anyone have a grown son that age, or that’s been that age? You wouldn’t want them to have any shot at even some sort of redemption? Of course we raise our kids not to do these things, luckily mine doesn’t have a spot on even his school record and will go for his MBA after next year. But also not everyone has good parents, or people guiding them in their life decisions. Anyways, I know I’m repeating myself to the same people lol. Whatever. Is what it is
  3. Even if he comes back in couple years, people will still call him pedo on the on deck circle. Some teammates won’t want anything to do with him, Jail won’t be the end of it. It’ll be a hard, if not impossible road to redemption like Vick.
  4. There’s two types of criminals. One that can successfully rehabilitate and one that can’t. Again using the Michael Vick thing and as an animal lover. I think he deserves the second chance after jail and the permanent Scarlet A. That’s all I’m saying. Can agree with it or not. But I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve jail
  5. It’s a problem and he goes to jail either way. I’m not sure how I was saying either way is ok. He tried and he failed. If anything it kind of makes him look like a chump. He’s the guy the girl moved on from and he’s still texting
  6. I’ll try not to carry on as Dick Pole kind of acted as the voice of reason to lay out to you what a pedo is. What Franco did is also clearly defined Jailbait is slang[1][2] for a person who is younger than the legal age of consent for sexual activity and usually appears older, with the implication that a person above the age of consent might find them sexually attractive.[3] The term jailbait is derived from the fact that engaging in sexual activity with someone who is under the age of consent is classified as statutory rape[3] or by an equivalent term.[4] Not only physically, but the girl was also well advanced in street years. She basically shook Wander down in the end. He was looking for love and control, she wanted to get paid. That’s not victim blaming as she was 14 and he’s done now. But it wasn’t like an R Kelly situation where she’s locked in the basement under mind control. Seems Franco never could get her under his spell, as she was with another guy while he’s sending highly incriminating texts telling her to come back. Anyways, He took the bait. He’s likely going to jail. Pedo is a sickness that never goes away.
  7. I don’t know how any of that is relevant to my point. Shove it up your keester old timer. Hockey forum is in OT. You, Jim, and Laila can all ice skate your way over there
  8. I don’t need to. Look at the contract. Even the ninja of mlb, AA, decided to give a closer $16m at 35yo next year or whatever he is
  9. An example of misusing WAR to determine market value. They’re increasing their chances of post-season success. Like a cherry on top. We got IKF though, so joke is on them.
  10. I wouldn’t either actually. I’ve seen Manoah pitch a few times when he was still good and so I could have heavy bias but I wouldn’t trade him for a meh rental. I also don’t oppose someone taking the view he’s Ricky Romero. Wide variety of outcomes
  11. Yeah, I’m onky doing a drive by today, didn’t see any context. More about you guys jerking off over 4 WAR Varsho. If he was a FA this year, it wouldn’t go how you’d think
  12. Throwing out unproven theories again, but if you did a big study comparing offensive and defensive WAR, I’d wager you see a blatant discrepancy in market value

I don’t fashion myself as a Negative Nancy. In cases like a team like SD (pre owner death), I’m on record of admitting what they did building value/gam engagement in a mid market, while most others torch them. Even as a causal, it’s easy to see Raps help on to some guys longer than they should. Like FVV got nothing at all. Pascal there is a point they probably could’ve gotten some nice pieces if they were building for the future

Seems they haven’t committed either way and keep not maxing out moves bc of it.
  15. It’s not that it seems to be a bad deal. It’s just resources teams like BAL or TAM don’t need to spend money on. That’s $50m committed addressed the biggest team deficiency from last season. Teams usually address what most got them bounced. Maybe the Jays execs are bucking their peers methods due to reading about randomness here
  16. Orioles didn’t need these deals
  17. Jays can’t even develop RP so they don’t have to buy it, much less hitters. Doesn’t bode well.
  18. Let’s see what Chapman gets. If it’s like 4/100, this is halfway there. I haven’t even been pro signing Chapman but I’d rather have him for 4/100 and not make these deals
  19. You and I are almost aligned here, how about that? $50m isn’t anything to sneeze at when it’s possible you could get the same from internal options, or inconsequential trades. Not all out saying I hate it as maybe it’s not money spent otherwise but it’d be $50m closer to something more solid.
  20. Kind of depends on the baby mama situation obviously. Like are other baby mamas a threat? Or are you in it together? I feel like since you’re all competing for a slice of the pie, more times than not they would keep their distance. But pure speculation on my part
  21. These type of players are better to target in trades. Like Mitch White I guess lol. Just not a fan of FA dollars in it but not claiming it’s overly consequential. Sort of like IKF. We’ll see what terms are
  22. Can’t claim I know anything about him but doesn’t seem overly intriguing at the 4/32 estimate.

Chalk this up more to the playoff theory it’s all about how you’re going in

So what you’re saying then is there’s no correlation.
  25. That’s not really the point here. I didn’t suggest they’ll never sign one of the better FA. That’s a different argument. Many team can point to this guy or that guy that they signed. Those teams don’t get their names attached to FA/trade targets at any rate like the Jays.
