  1. Perhaps I did. I actually forgot about Wood honestly Edit- wow he really took a nose drive last year though
  2. I was consider Riley/Harper swap with the guy that quit bbdl. I put it off for a later convo. Possible the guy quit because league didn’t move fast enough, but as someone said, it’s an established league and so off-season it’s not balls to wall
  3. Undoubtedly he’s better as of now, but not a ton to spike to football on. Mostly the foreseeable edge comes from non-neutral factors (Detroit situation) . 126 wRC+ to 119 compared to Greene as a rookie. Hopefully Greene can stay on the field.
  4. Fantasy only remember. At some points, RG looked like the better player. Your stacast stuff likes him too. Didn’t come back well from injury and got injured again. Walker held his own. I should’ve included Royce too.
  5. I’ll take the package they just got, so they got 1.3 years of Soto for free
  6. Plus side prob don’t have to move
  7. Nobody likes the guy telling them the obvious, that their fat gf is ugly.
  8. No respect. As someone pointed out, when you consider all 5 guys that will get time at 3b, we’re going to be Top 10 there. So anyone turning up their nose at the IKF signing just doesn’t understand baseball.
  9. “Playoffs are all luck/crapshoot” and they got there. Some good seasons in return they got. Not a lot of gut punches there. A few decent pieces, but again, not like it was for nothing. You’d have to do a list of everything coming back to grade it obviously. My take on the GM is more about some of the contracts. Hosmer in particular was just an all time bad before ink dried. So not defending him, but not sure his trade history would be much more than a wash
  10. CJA sucks. Thats basically a prospect swap now (after the new Soto deal) and I’ll take the latter return
  11. You’d have to go back a decade to Fried and Turner to find guys they dealt that really mattered.
  12. Spanky sucks. He just chased off another new guy in our board league. Im assuming he’s sending unsolicited dick pics, but as of now, nobody has hard to courage to call him out on it..
  13. I’m sure there’s been some of that through the initial process, but there’s still hurdles to clear, so doubt the family is going to change their modus operandi.
  14. Bro it’ll take like 4mos for it to get approved. Even back door dealing, not sure how much sway they can have, even if it’s unlikely to fall apart.
  15. If you bring up developing bats, they’re going to make you appreciate Cavan Biggio
  16. More power to you. Hasn’t had an ERA over 3.35 since 2019 (pitching in the AL East last few) but extremely unlikely his ERA is under 4 this season in SD. To each their own
  17. I never complained on Yimi (if he’s your guy before the 8th), he was just not who you wanted in for a little while there. But it’s usually a guy like him or a AAAA guy that’s either going to make it, or be sent down soon
  18. Yimi got 3/16 with the vested option. He was coming off a subpar 3 year stretch too
  19. Weak sauce. Pitchers reinvent themselves all the time. 4.5 years his ERA has really held steady in the same range year after year.
  20. Going back from 2019, his highest ERA is 3.35. Sorry FIP doesn’t seem to capture his skill set well. Guys like that can be worth $4m, over AAAA guys you bring up and down during the year that blow your 6th-7th inning lead
  21. Understandably, it’s probably a confusing time. How you move forward is not exactly clear. There’s probably differing opinions at the top on what the best path forward is. Seems they’re just trying to make some sort of improvements, while also not making any definitive moves.
  22. Jays locked into guaranteed double for a guy that may not even play at the mlb level (be any good). If that happens, I’ll bump this and ask who the dumbass is.
  23. TB has built a sustained run on a philosophy of trying to win 1-2 run games. Peralta doesn’t have backend upside. If he’s good in his role, it’s not a certainty he’d walk. San Diego is a good place to be living too. For SD, they are still trying to compete at a WC3 level at least. I’m not saying it’s an amazing deal for anyone, or how to do things, just saying I understand what both sides were going for
  24. I feel the reasoning behind it on both sides is clear. I’m sorry that’s not how you would do things. One would’ve called ChadG’s original deal strange.
  25. Private equity firms would build the brand and increase the value. It’s well known sports teams offer small returns. You don’t pay $1.7b to make $50m on the bottom line at the end of the year. Baltimore prob doesn’t even clear that.
