    I don’t begrudge the guy for feeling that way. He shouldn’t say it though. If he wants to equate it to the real workplace, if you have a close knit team working on projects they feel are really important, it’s not productive to openly go on the record that you’re just there punching a clock and nothing else. You’d rub some people the wrong way that do have an a passion for it and let it become a distraction when someone outside the group catches wind of it.

    Check Ohtanis endorsements and I’ll bet 90% of the money comes from overseas. Those legion of fans are going to have little impact at the gates, or the local television broadcasts. I don’t see how Ohtani brings so much more value than Trout. You don’t know sheeeettt. Trout and Judge are right there with Ohtani for franchise value

    Yeah they just lost Ohtani, can’t ever be competitive. Their big names like Rendon have sucked. Besides just their tv deal, I could see franchise value losing a couple hundred million easy peasy if no Trout. 15% stock drop (metaphor) on the news of the dump. Never to recover

    Baseball is a business and not a simulation. You can’t spit out projected WAR to determine the what Trout is worth. If there’s a tv deal anywhere near the horizon, I bet you Trout for prospects loses you $260m
