MLB owners are holding tight and protecting the brand on these things clearly. There would be at least one team that would break ranks and sign him. Even a rebuilding team, as they would take the initial bad PR, but Bauer would be “washed” and ready to ready to ship at the deadline.

Umm.. he did that, dude? While he didn’t back off that the girl was a liar… he took full responsibility that his actions were reckless and that he wasn’t going to involved in any of that lifestyle going forward, he just wanted to play baseball.

In the Jays case, each regular season has been a disappointment compared to the expectations. So whatever you think of the playoffs and the Jays not winning a single game the last 4 years, is kind of moot -
It seems they really smack down Lux for missing a season, projection wise. I’m sure 2023 projections were better going in, considering his numbers in the minors and progression in majors.

Man, 2 stinkers in a row and I wasn’t even looking for it:) Doesn’t what sport, when you go deep in the playoffs, nobody cares what seed you were. If you go to the WS as a WC, then it’s widely considered a better season than if you won the division and lost 1st round of playoffs. That’s the universal reality outside of nerds. -

I just got beat in a matchup in the basketball league for the first time all season. It was akin to Buster Douglas KO’ing Mike Tyson. I haven’t been anything but first in two years. It’ll stay that way through the season. Fondly makes me remember when bbdl first started.
