  1. This isn’t accurate for a few reasons. First, yes, anything less than Chapman or similar wouldn’t land well, which you could say is unfair maybe but true. Signing IKF didn’t appease anything. That action didn’t calm down anyone complaining about a bad off season. It triggered the trolls like me even. You could say that about Turner only. KK even was an odd fit and people are like, ok. Not against it but it really wasn’t anything appeasing anyone. If they stayed on Chapman until the end, and lost out, again yeah you’d have bitching that they ended up with a second rate solution but as of now, it’s: You f***ed up Plan A and then you can’t even do Plan B right
  2. You realize I’m the guy telling you guys all the time that offensive and defensive WAR are paid on completely different levels?
  3. IKF is the kind of guys those teams sign and they would pay him what all the other guys got paid. First and foremost, the Jays failed to come up with a better solution than IKF as the primary 3b. They jumped the gun with a bad contract that did prob lock them in after the Turner signing, where a contract like 3/75 to Chapman would never be offered, as they got themselves set for 2024.
  4. So not just the trolls I guess lol. it’s definitely a black mark on them. Laila will come to the rescue with the obvious fact that it’s not as consequential as say Avasail Garcia’s contract, which everyone knew was bad when signed. However, they certainly didn’t just shrug their shoulders giving him 2/15. They completely misread his value and the market.
  5. I have to have some legit value here, other than entertainment.
  6. Late to the party
  7. I was thinking he was as Bauer’d. A lot of teams prob did pass on him for non-baseball reasons. He hasn’t had any ST, so makes sense for a guy that is likely happy that he could get anything. The Pirates will wash him and maybe he’s worth something at the deadline.
  8. Go back a page and try again.
  9. Everyone was lining up to sign him for 4/44 if you could get it. He’s not going to see anything near that in FA.
  10. Laila put a strain on our close friendship one time by banning me for essentially saying NBA players liked rap music. I accepted it and moved on though. Best to do the same.
  11. The Jays are the only dumbasses that pay a premium for defensive WAR
  12. I’d hope he’s been using specially constructed batting gloves. Off the rack no bueno
  13. How many of you know your way around a boxing ring and can bench 300lb? Prob not a lot.
  14. There’s zero doubt in my mind that if there was an official bjmb tough man contest, I win for sure, even turning 45. Now outside of that, streets, I guess if you could take some blows and it turns into grappling, you’d prob have the advantage.
  15. PM is for chicks to talk about their feelings
  16. I’m 5’10 200lb solid. Just because you’re 6” taller and a 100lb+ of tub heavier doesn’t mean you can just sit on me and call it a day:)
  17. Snelling really dropped to a 40fv on Fangraphs as they stuck him as 20 current command for having a 5+ bb rate in 17 innings. I wonder if they’re always that unscientific. He was 50 or 55fv when Spanky stole him last year
  18. The problem with your grandstanding is it’s based on false info. Your first paragraph isn’t factual. That F word is rarely used in such a way to disparage sexual preference. 9/10 it’s used in the same way I would when I think of Spanky stealing Robbie Snelling off my roster. Its the best word to summarize him in that case.
  19. Once Hurl sees it, it’ll be gone.
  20. Spanky know shittin’. Not much else. Except stealing players off rosters
  21. Get your leagues straight, mate.
  22. I think the Padres are obviously kind of on the fence. They don’t want to lose all the momentum they’ve built with fan engagement. They still need to negotiate a new tv deal. But they also have to deal with an uncertain fiscal future. Cease feels like a safe move. Darvish, Musgrove, Cease is a solid 3 if healthy. Not sure who they have behind that. I don’t know if Lesko is going to be a factor. Or Robby Snelling, who Spanky infamously stole off my roster in the single most corrupt act in board fantasy history
  23. One could read this and think maybe you should lighten up a bit. It’s a message board, bro. A little too deep.
  24. To not be definitive, there would need to be some sort of doubt in the statement. Like “may not be”
  25. “Jays SP depth suddenly not so suspect” That’s a definitive statement amigo
