  1. Men call it the DL
  2. Rodon 6/162 with more question marks though. And SP always a premium. I really believe Boras overplayed it. Who knows
  3. Be hard to believe he couldnt have gotten maybe 6/175 or something. Botas may have overplayed his hand in this case. Chapman wasn’t going to get the payday. Belly was a tricky situation
  4. Yeah, gotta think Boras at least lost a little shine this year. He’ll be just fine but people noticed.
  5. lol. MLB probably not a fan of the stunts
  6. The objective view is he’s a very sold #5 that a LOT of teams could use. I’m thinking PIT was the only team worth giving him a shot. I feel like he’ll get “washed” this year by playing on a mlb team and letting the initial drama die down. Same would’ve gone for Bauer who isn’t pitching. It’s really hard to explain how a two time wife beater and guy that was constantly drunk and damaging locker rooms is worth bringing on but not TB, considering baseball skills.
  7. Hey stupid, maybe try a little harder on the reading comprehension
  8. Can you plug me in a Jack N. “you can’t handle the truth” gif
  9. I’m bet he’s still making money on that somehow.
  10. Well if it’s a tie, Philly can win a playoff game and hit, so they get the tie breaker in the matter.
  11. Maybe if they let him play at 3b when he wanted to in the last couple years he would’ve come into ST in better shape. Now we have an expensive can of pea soup there. Could’ve had Vlad and some fat guy on 1b that can at least be a league average bat. The only thing comical is you trying to sound like you know the difference between your elbow and *******.
  12. And someone won Powerball. On the flip side, someone got eaten by a shark
  13. Jesus… how much time are you guys going to spend masturbating to Mitch Whites stuff lol.. he’s a 29yo journeyman. How many times has such a person all the sudden turned into something worthy of being a key piece. Hopefully he’s a good depth option

Idk enough I guess but the bit I read was MHJ was at another level. Other times skilled WR might go in the Top 10 and they end up being just guys,

Ah, yeah with that extra wrinkle in the equation, yes, currently it’s looking like a bad org direction they took.

Yeah Chicago probably could’ve moved down to say #2 or #3 for either Washington and NE if they wanted to pay for Williams. Then take Marvin Harrison, supposedly generational, sure he won’t make it past 4. Then they have #9 was one of the good OL that should be there. Guess they just didn’t believe though. Plus he’d be looking for mega deal anyway after one good year. They can reset now. Maybe Williams really is the bees knees too

Baker is kind of weird one to determine regret. Was traded and couldn’t even be the starter on a bad team. Couldnt establish himself as a good backup of another. We’ll see if last season was legit. He could settle into a Cousins like career. I guess that’s best scenario
  18. That 20th century stuff you’ve been reading about in the newspaper is finally coming to roost. Nice.
  19. That’s prob a good question about the blackout. You’d think maybe they’d choose to black out your home team, based on the VPN thing. Or maybe they don’t care enough

A 6th for Fields seems pretty brutal. I guess I can’t remember anytime a team traded a young QB and really regretted it though.
  21. It’s sad really that the High Table here doesn’t like any differing opinion. Not to be confused of having anything to do with politics, but we’ll just call them “Baseball liberals” in that they have a narrow view of things and you’re an extremist if you have differing views. It was a sad off season. Definitely a lot of legit fuel for people to hang on to. I’m actually not doom and gloom as I think Vlad and Springer will come back to life. That kind of thinking is clearly what the Jays are banking on. If it doesn’t happen, can’t really fault the vitriol that will be spewed. It wouldn’t be unlikely either that exec’s heads would be on a stake if there was another disappointing finish.
  22. Good enough you might start thinking Gelof ++ for old man Altuve was actually bad for me?
  23. How good? I’ll dig up posts from a year ago when he was supposedly nothing lol
  24. It’s all about when it matters. I promise you if I start pimping Zack Gelof and his 1.178 OPS, there would be a collective eye roll.
  25. While your assessments of me are usually correct and maybe I will stir the pot with IKF on occasion, I genuinely hated the signing. My dislike of limp noodle bats with only their defense as a a redeeming quality is documented. It’s understandable you can’t have all star bats everywhere, even on good teams, and you’ll have to find a guy on the cheap to fill that role even on good teams (or just do that internally) You can’t really cry about the glass half empty crowd. Jays are a playoff team, they’re Canada’s only team, they have expectations like other playoff teams. They went into the playoffs limping on offense and they got booted the same way. They didn’t do anything to address it. Turner is a downgrade from Belt and is a high risk to bust at 39. IKF is a huge downgrade from last year offensively. Question Urshela is fine but at least there’s legit offensive upside there. Not to mention they doubled down on the OF scenario of committing to Varsho as a corner OF when his bat didn’t come close to playing there last year Not only the IKF salary, but they have him two years, which was completely unnecessary. It may not prevent them from going after a big name next year, but it took up a spot for a legit upside flyer they may pass up next year and they committed for the next two years to downgrade their offense. So that’s the legit glass half empty Now, you can do the glass half full thing and say there’s reason to believe some guys are going to bounce back. There’s merit to that but it’s not like it’s the only way one can think of they’re just stupid
