  1. I’m at at loss for words on Royce Lewis
  2. I told these guys I’m like the DT of the board now. No need to clarify those initials.
  3. This is like saying you can be a fat person, but beautiful too. Body positive. This kind of thing may be why Toronto gets a lot of good fat players
  4. I can’t help that you sensitive Nancies have to crumble like chicks if the topic or race gets involved. Try to get over the woke “color of skin” stuff and think more about how far along Japan and mlb have come in the last decade or whatever. If you don’t think race is playing a part behind the scenes with all this, in terms on mlb kind of gauging the media situation and wondering how their investigation and possible suspension might not land well with fans of said race, you’re not being realistic
  5. Apples to apples, eh? Riddle me this: How come Ortiz is in Hall of Fame? I’m not suggestiing it’s bc of race either
  6. I think there’s a myriad of factors that will go into it. It’s not conspiracy theory to suggest the AP will sometimes communicate on how aggressive to handle a storyline.
  7. Related to your first reply to me that it’s a non-story. It’s definitely a big story. And sorry, while I’ll slip in a troll, usually there’s some truth to it. In this case, a hesitancy to bring Ohtani down, in which race probably will play a factor, along with others. The media going after one person harder than the other is actually true. I will give you an example not related to racism: Peyton Manning was dead to rights on HGH use and they let the story go really, rather than tarnish his legacy
  8. This happened. Don’t claim it’s just the race line
  9. Also, I never suggested the end result would be anything like a ban from life for baseball. It’s all about what the suspension is going to look like. Or would/should look like.
  10. Lies. I found this story genuinely fascinating. The race thing of course you could classify as some sort of bait, rather than substance to the debate. Can concede that
  11. Than you again. Hopefully your underling BTS now understand the situation a little better.
  12. Thank you lol. You typically can’t be like, I’m not an accessory to this crime because I didn’t know what was going on
  13. The US actually eats up “fall from grace” stories. The media wouldn’t push this narrative of accountability for Ohtani, due to racial considerations. I don’t wish for him to be suspended for any period of time, I was just mocking mlb
  14. I don’t understand what off the hook means. If you mean he didn’t bet, sure. But I’m pretty sure I read it’s against mlb for him to associate with a known illegal gambler (for sound reasoning) and also he sent illegal wire transfers for the purpose of paying off illegal gambling debts.
  15. Maybe karma getting mlb for the Bauer thing. Holier than thou s***, now it’s the golden goose getting fried.
  16. Seems like the interpreter’s resume is all bs lol. From not graduating or going to college, to lies about mlb experience.
  17. Bro, they admitted it and then took it back lol. Then you’re like “what evidence”
  18. He’s cooked. Don’t make excuses for him. I promise you can factor in all tonight’s stats and they wouldn’t have changed the outcome. A few bench players other than Kuzma. Monk 0-11 from the field. See you later, alligator. Dinger tell him to take his bitch ass home
  19. The equivalent of knocking down his King in chess. Really no path to victory. Only “better” loss.
  20. I agree with you it looks like the evidence is pretty damning against him. I don’t know why others debate that. I mean his personal team admitted it and took it back. As I said, I can’t see how he didn’t sign off on that $4.5 wire, so he’ll need a lot of people to lie for him, some like bankers that aren’t on his payroll. Then you get into the ignorance thing. Obviously ignorance is not a defense but I’m not sure it can even be assumed to lighten up the prosecution. It depends on how hard the DA wants to pursue it. Not being a white male works in his favor in Cali. Not even joking. Really it’s kind of hard to believe with all the resources around and available to him, that he didn’t understand any of the circumstances around sending a $4.5m wire. But I guess attorney/client privilege shields him there. Idk
  21. Dinger, please let your brother know I think of him as my main internet rival outside of the usual suspects here. Let him know I’m of mixed emotions. I guess best possible scenario was meeting and beating him in the Finals. But his loss before we could meet brings me some joy too.
  22. What’s perplexing to me, with their change in legal strategy, is how are they going to untie Ohtani from the 4.5m wire. Like, you’d to have to imagine there would be all sorts of traceable checks and balances in place for that. But maybe not if they’re going to take the legal strategy that he was oblivious to it.

The first time I got banned after 20 years, I took heavy offense. Now it’s like I’ve been here 20 years, I can take a few days off. Most mods are lefties but reasonably so, so they can respect I don’t leave the grey at worst. There’s just one ultra progressive that’ll just choose to reach for things with me on occasion. All good. And “lefty and ultra progressive” isn’t talking about politics. It’s a simply a description of ideology.
  24. If you guys want to be homophobic apologists, more power to you. I’m not an admin here. Do as you please
  25. “Ankle grabbers” seems pretty homophonic to me. May as well have called everyone the other F word. Clearly the same intent
