    I’d say it’s at least 50/50 like/dislike. Prob more likes even, so not really fair to call people morons that don’t like it... but the schtick isn’t for everyone

    Feels like an incomplete take though. He says Tanaka doesn’t want to pitch for a non-contending team, so that doesn’t mean Yankees or nothing. Then says he wants to end his career with Jap team. Which also doesn’t suggest Yankees or bust next year

    Just quoting projections, which don’t seem out of place. No doubt he’d be better defensive than RG but RG’s bat will likely be better so it’s a wash. Meanwhile we have glaring holes in SP, IF, and RP- the last one more my opinion

    God I hope you guys don’t get your wish w/JBJ. Projected to hit .226 with an OPS barely north of .700 with just ok defense. Which seems fair for a 30yo that was coming into his short contract year off 3 consecutive subpar offensive full seasons with defense trending downwards and he’s 30 playing CF Gri projects better, just with better bat and lesser defense but better. Why then we would target a CF when there are many other pressing needs like IF, SP, RP..idk

    While I also share the viewpoint that Cohen will be aggressive, at least they’ve shown they’re not going to bid against themselves and just sign whatever. They moved on from JTR, which would’ve been big splash and as of now, they haven’t met the asking price of Bauer or Springer It’s possible Cohen wants to be aggressive but also respects the baseball people in his circle putting caps on guys

    My guess would be yours. I imagine both Jays and Mets willing to do 5/125 right now. Springer wants more but prob 6/150 gets it done in the end

    Word is Springer wants $150m. Figured that’d be his goal. Hopefully Mets don’t want to go 6th year. That’s Jays best shot. Not a fan of the 6th year but that’s what it’ll prob take

    As you said, he’s prob not worth it but agent doing their job by trying to push up the highest aav. See it a lot in football where Guy B gets highest contract even though Guy A who signed last year or two was better. Seems all the top FA are holding out for more dollars and years. Someone will break obviously at some point. Bauer will prob have to settle for a little less IMO. We’ll see

    Agreed ignored text should equal declined to comment. Didn’t know that part. Also if the fundamental story is true, then yeah Bauer would be a douche. Closer reading I guess would indicate they didn’t really deny it. It’s different in tone than Cohen’s recent takedowns of media that were apparently making up stories/using bad sources Actually TB’s initial tweet is a bit ambiguous. By “learning so much” that could mean he’s learning it for the first time (which is how I initially took it) or as Laila said he’s just mad people are learning about it

    Yeah, agreed. Outside of the dripping sarcasm, which you either like or don’t/and if you don’t can see calling him douche, he’s definitely within his right to call out bad info and more ppl should do it

    Steamer has it 113 to 103. Not like it’s a huge gap. Can’t be terrible to say wouldn’t be surprised if they finish similar. Especially since Kep 102 lifetime

    I think Cats Ass traded 2nd milb for him and got torched. I’m not pimping him but I just think still a chance he’s something and Kepler is pretty replaceable in 20 team leagues
