  1. He’s looked cooked before and proved to be a decent backend SP. I think if he had ST, he would’ve been a passable 4/5 on teams. He may not get much rope though
  2. Wrong thread for your optimism. Punch those first year Low A ball stats into your nerd computer and tell it to make some projections and it won’t look good. I had him in a dynasty and dropped him to add some players in this coming draft
  3. Not saying whatsoever that he’s a bust. But I think his confidence clearly got destroyed. Two ways to go from here.
  4. One could call in foreshadowing of the 2024 season. But since it was how things were going into the playoffs. It’s almost like it’s been one giant continuation.
  5. Maybe they can pick up Suyzn Waldman as a FA
  6. Jackson Holliday is 4 for 30 since going back to the minors. Woof. Could be Kelenic all over again
  7. Arjun Nimmala looks like he sucks. I understand he was raw, but looks like he sucks
  8. Yeah, man. That first year he not only caught Tor’s attention, but really across mlb. Exciting stuff. Objectively, it’s a clear failure but it’s hard to not remember that year and at least in way hindsight, say f*** it, was worth the try. Bad luck on it
  9. I was referring to Laila as a fairy villager in case that wasn’t clear. Sometimes my good digs go unnoticed. I’m often only clever to myself.
  10. There’s a time and a place for excuses and reasoning and there’s a time and a place where the pitchforks come out and you push the fairy villagers to the ground and hang some people. Pretty much time for the latter. 3 WC is/has been this teams only saving grace. Would be an objective failure otherwise
  11. Jays are a disappointment yet again. Maybe at least pull a little bit of the rope back.
  12. He apparently didn’t learn a lesson, bc he’s still the type to pay $20m/yr for a closer. Most perennial WS teams will pay for it, rather than hope someone works out to be that level. BJ just got hurt, never to return the same.
  13. Good players aren’t on rehabs to prove anything. Just to be sure they’re healthy.
  14. Not the first time you whiffed, won’t be the last.
  15. Shut up, cuck. You don’t know sheet.
  16. Was just curious. But For now= wavering a little. Also, Riley got hurt last year and wasn’t the same when he came back.
  17. Also Jim, you starting to waiver on JRod > Riley G. Or you’re still firm? I ended up Greene and Lewis in my league for Cease, Clase, and Bednar.
  18. What’s Basallo’s long time value look like? Seems like a hard guy to judge fantasy wise. Like wheres he’s playing? 1b I guess and pt C? Then you wonder how many ABs that is if he’s not great. I have a guy that has him that a match up well with, and I think I could get Jordan Walker at really low value included for an SP.
  19. But I think the GM could air grievances, as long as they take responsibility too. But when you do that, you light your fire, it it doesn’t improve, you become a lame duck. So it’s more about them not having the balls to do it, vs they can’t The other way is just never light the fire, and then you get canned, and maybe you wish you did try to light that last fire. So it depends for comfortable they feel. Like if I can get another season if we make WC3, even if we don’t get past first round again
  20. I think you have to separate throwing and individual player(s) under the bus, vs the group. You’d have talk generalizations of things you’d want say like poor preparation, lack of desire… I’m just giving examples but whatever they needed to call out. They’d need to take responsibility for their own mistakes in the same trashing of the players. In that framework you can absolutely be realistic. Many times after football games the coach throws the team under the bus, vs an individual player and also blames poor coaching too. Same with basketball. I guess in baseball it’s a bit tougher to do for a manager, bc he can’t be like, it’s my fault we went 2 for 30 today against this guy with with 7.50 ERA
  21. Term dug his feet in the sand weeks ago and decided he’d be a contrarian, rather than join the lynch mob. His optimistic persona is manufactured
  22. With all of Laila’s hot take misses, you could take one one of those hippie runs across the entire country
  23. Thanks for unwittingly putting the truth back where it belongs
