  1. 2024 you need to combine the fact orf Rays keeping his innings down for injury prevention, as well as keeping his arb potential down lol. 22 and 23 are service years for him
  2. Yeah 23 is out. 24 the O/U would be 100 IP at best and I’d take the under
  3. I’ve watched Glasnow pitch too. Doesn’t mean much if they live on the IL
  4. Then maybe Abom has commandeered your account
  5. I’m going to assume you have some shares of Glasnow..err Baz
  6. Well, the debate here gets murky because playoff baseball is not managed the same as regular season baseball. There’s strategy deployed at all times. In this case, it’s simply putting who you think is a better pitcher in for the 6th. I was talking more of regular season games. Meaning in the 6th inning, if Cavan Biggio comes up and there’s a lefty (or actually anyone if you’re a good team) pitching, you’re probably subbing him for someone that’s giving you a better chance to score. If Kirk gets a base hit, are you running off him in the 6th? Prob not. So get Tapia or Zimmer off the bench. Can a game in the playoffs or even regular season be decided in the 3rd inning? Of course. Not all 7-9 innings will matter. So in that case, sure, each inning is important in its own right and comes with its own set of pressures. Unfortunately all of your arms aren’t the same and so you have to pick who you want to keep for the high leverage situations
  7. We agree on something bro. Something is off
  8. Yeah, teams should really be relying more on this publicly available data, so they don’t get fleeced like this
  9. Thin skin, mate?
  10. Doesn’t stand up to logic. It’s not about guys “trying harder” with the game on the line. It’s about pinch hitters, pinch runner, greater need for swing and miss to negate teams trying to manufacture runs
  11. Or the bottom line just got healthier. Have to wait for the chips to fall
  12. I cant keep up sometimes. Going back 15 years when I first came here, one of my first arguments with the board was that guys pitching in the 9th inning faced a tougher run environment and I was flamed hard for it. The thinking then was you could take a guy pitching the 6th and 7th and expect similar results. No straw man
  13. Couple the fact that they just moved him for a 1 year rental, it’s logical to say they didn’t see him as what Jays might. That doesn’t mean anything of course, but just what it seems to be
  14. What’s wrong with the logic there. Maybe if SEA sees him as a potential dominant closer, they don’t move him
  15. I just smell a Derek Fisher deal coming. Admittedly I’m a pessimist though
  16. Jays don’t have a good history pursuing Corner OF. We’ll see what it looks like after the dust settles. If they don’t get an equal bat, it’s not good for a playoff team
  17. Traded away to another medium market team on the rise that just beat us lol
  18. They probably tried for the last 3 weeks to trade Jansen for that RP they needed and finally just couldn’t deal with all the phone hang ups. I get it in that case
  19. Seattle big boy move. They’ll sign some RP FA to replace the BR arm
  20. Valid point but trade something else:(
  21. A lot of sabr guys here will devalue Teo because of the defense, but you need bats in the playoffs. WAR is not the same come playoff time for these guys building incremental value over 162 games. Yes, obviously that helps you get to the post season but it’s less important when it’s a post season roster already
  22. Woooooofffffff I mean obviously the Jays found out they weren’t signing him but honestly one playoff year of him and a QO would be better
  23. I have my own fly under the radar guy in Tyler Gentry. I’ll be chirping about it soon enough
  24. Yeah, I mean posters on here can all say “I want to see what Biggio can do based on 2019” .. and “trolls” can have their opinion.. but what’s fact is that the Jays don’t think anything of him. It’s really hard to dispute that based on how he’s deployed
  25. What would you singular thinking peeps do without me? You’re welcome
