  1. Let the record show who took a baseball convo and turned it into something else lol. Yes, #2 mod
  2. As mentioned, it’s not as easy as you think. I challenge someone to use their real photos and such and try it. Hot girls aren’t just ready to come here for gross and average men. Fantasy land
  3. It’s totally transparent. He knows if there’s one thing I would not want to be in life, nor would I consider myself, it would be an NPC. I’ll give him some credit for recognizing and exploiting it
  4. Can only get you so far, man. I can’t land a super hot and smart 22yo. I’m not a millionaire. I can lower my standards or be creative. Outside the box thinking
  5. I can’t express how much little effort i put into life and get by comfortably entirely on charisma and wit
  6. Bro. Kettle. Like I hope you had a strong academic advisor/professor that helped you pick your field early on. Like to concentrate in tax/business and technical areas like that where you could thrive, rather than any field where lack of charisma and out-of-the-box thinking could hinder your professional development
  7. Well, I’m not alone in this. Many are just waiting out to see what happens when the dust settles. I can respect that for sure
  8. Like how has the OF development been going in the org?
  9. Listen if they moved Teo for a mlb ready prospect bat, I wouldn’t be complaining… until that person flamed out at least lol There’s this myth that Corner OF are so easy to find because dudes like Brantley sign for reasonable contracts. But other teams want them too, and the more likely scenario is you leave empty handed rather than overpay. Or you jump in the dumpster bin, and hope it works out.
  10. Also, it’s not fair to call Teo just a HR hitter. He’s not a two outcome guy, even with the high K rate. As mentioned, one could attribute some of the down numbers to coming back from injury
  11. Listen, I’m just foreseeing the stretches next year and playoffs where we lack offense and the board is on fire. Hopefully Jays make a corresponding move
  12. Try to change shoes and think about how lame and predictable your comeback was lol. I took issue the deal and made a generalization that contenders don’t do that.. and you’re like “it happens every blue moon. Remember 36 years ago. It happens” Like no s***. Thanks. I’ll just sit down next time
  13. Define it how you want. How about “integral part of the team”. You happy with that?
  14. And even if there’s a more recent cherry picked example, doesn’t negate what the norms are. Yanks could’ve traded Judge last year for a nice haul I’m sure for every one you could come up with, there would be 100? of the other scenario
  15. Belly was a non-tender even for the Dodgers lol. As for your other example, you’re going to go back 20 years ago to prove your point lol
  16. Not very clear
  17. Regardless, Teo wasn’t a surplus. Legit WS contenders aren’t trading star players because there’s one year left on their deal. It’s a low budget team move. You can argue it’s the better move in a vacuum, but teams factor other things into the equation, like playoff success in the here-and-now
  18. Bro. Seattle just traded pieces for the privilege of paying and having him for one year. Don’t act like keeping him even if it’s for one year when it’s only money you’re paying him isn’t a viable option for a WS contender
  19. Really? I wouldn’t think so at all. If the poll was “who is the best of this group”, it would be different. If you choose Nimmo, you would be assuming it’s a really big contract and so I would not pick Nimmo
  20. How do you not add Nimmo and none of the above
  21. I’m not saying you don’t do the deal, but just joining others that say you need a plus bat or move sucks
  22. There really is no clear sign of decline with Teo. I would not bet against a 140 wRC. Anyone that would is dumb. He’s showed in large stretches there was no fluke. You could argue his timing got f***ed up missing time. Anyways, not signing someone to a contract qualifies as being savvy. Not dumping a main piece with one year left when you’re a WS hopeful. Small time teams like Tampa may do it, yeah. But guess what, if their bats don’t go on a crazy fluke like that one year, basically you’re drastically reducing your chances in the post-season Tampa is not worried about that sort of thing. They aren’t building a team for the playoffs. It’s for regular season wins.
  23. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. Nobody really cares if Jays were the better team on paper. Post-season success, whether luck or not, often determines contracts. Is what it is
  24. I saw a little chink in Jim’s armor when BTS asked about him in trade. Jim would cut his losses for sure. How much I’m not sure
  25. Not him but it may open up Biggio being a loogy. It would be a net win contribution wise
