  1. Now the fanboys are going to come tell you those projections are light because the Yankees played him in the OF last year and really they should be closer to 0.7 to 0.9
  2. My guess is he is the opening day third baseman and starts 100 games there
  3. Not really, what you’ve just described is the definition of hedging your bets
  4. Elite defender IKF played 140+ games in 2021 and 2022 almost exclusively at SS and amassed 1.6 and 1.5 WAR. Over 500 AB’s each season He’s basically the threshold for the absolute lowest acceptable starter. If everything breaks right he *might* be a 2 WAR player He might be worth 0.5 too. There’s like zero upside
  5. s*** that sucks. Sign in SF and get dealt to Oakland
  6. Baseball is a funny game, they could absolutely be .500 at the deadline. If they are and the Dodgers come knocking about Bo you better listen
  7. You have to think about it if you’re out of it for sure. 1.5 years will net you so much more than one season and you could turn things around pretty quick dealing those guys
  8. Idk maybe Fantrax isn’t updated but BA has rankings
  9. I’m guessing but I’d say they’re the first team in the second worst tier of farm systems, and closer to the worst farm than average There’s just no impact guys to dream on outside of Tiedemann. Arjun probably next in line in terms of ceiling
  10. BA - 24th ESPN- 24th Fangraphs- 23rd You don’t have to agree but the industry views the system as bottom third, and is heavily propped up by Rick T
  11. Are you referring to the prospect list or farm ranks?
  12. Boston has hired Theo Epstein and Kyle Boddy this offseason
  13. Sort of illustrates the current state of the system. Tiedemann clearly better but you could definitely rank Ortiz over Orelvis and Arjun
  14. Oh I don’t think he’d be fifth he’s closer to two than five
  15. Would Joey Ortiz be our like… fourth best prospect? Maybe top 3
  16. A bunch of relievers and second base/corner outfield prospects have brought us to this point
  17. My guess is 19th
  18. Wow that is a list
  19. No kidding, Joey is seeing dollar signs this morning
  20. If he’s healthy he’ll be in the majors this year
  21. I don’t think it’s that bad. Apparently Joey Ortiz hits the ball hard and they can mold DL Hall for one year of Burnes Adames to the Dodgers any second now
  22. Milwaukee is getting the 34th overall pick this year too
  23. DL Hall stock way up
  24. Baltimore gets their man
  25. Right handers don’t have the same platoon split issues because they see 90% righties their whole life. Lefties might another lefty 10% of the time if that Righty heavy lineups can be susceptible to really good right handers. Pretty sure we saw that lots in 2022
