This move is fine. Happ was really good in Pittsburgh and if he can retain some of that we'll be in good shape. Shapiro coming in basically as advertised, adding cheap short term depth to the biggest area of weakness. Doesn't move the needle much, but acts as a decent insurance policy against the dog s*** AAAA starters we've become accustomed to seeing as Jays fans when inevitable injuries occur.

I'm sure most of the people complaining that it's not Price are the same ones advocating to extend/re-sign EE and Bautista. But it's not my money I don't care!!!

I think it's pretty inaccurate to claim they were openly cheering against him. There's a difference between being 15 games under .500 in September hoping the Nats rock him for a humility sake, and cheering every time he gives up a hit.
