  1. 2018 may be the year of both of the Jays' Juniors.
  2. Left fielders hit worse than second baseman last year. Obviously someone like Moss is preferable, but seems unlikely to happen. If you're calling up one of Pompey/Ramirez/Gurriel I'm choosing Pompey.
  3. Either way, KK is trying to take away from my main point! I don't think Gurriel is going to have much impact in Toronto this year.
  4. Why though? Pompey is already on the 40 man, probably a better defender and they both look like they're going to hit with a wet noodle anyway.
  5. I find it highly unlikely Gurriel contributes much if anything to the 2017 roster. I'd rather let Pompey sink or swim if need be and give Lourdes a full season of development and adjustment time.
  6. Not surprised at all re the outfield situation.
  7. The white panel hats are sick! Powder blues are a different story though as KK said they would be better than this red crap.
  8. Ya I bet these will be gross. Have to remind everyone that they play half their games in Canada.
  9. Hard pass on extending Pillar. Put it in the Donaldson fund.
  10. I can't think of a single Blue Jay player who I would've hated more than JPA in the last 10 years.
  11. My favourite JP memory was when they unveiled the new Blue Jay uniforms. I can't remember who all was there, but everyone was either modelling the blue, grey or white tops. And then there was JPA.. in the spring training/BP gear. Extreme douche. Don't let the door hit ya on the way out bud. Edit: I see King has the pic.
  12. Trevor Bauer is their biggest name as far as I know. The Dodgers have endorsed their program and use it with their minor league teams. Oregon State for sure as well, and probably numerous other Division 1 schools. I think SRF's brother trains there too.
  13. Agreed. The transfer of energy through a summersault just doesn't seem safe to me. What idiots!!
  14. I bet the Dodgers would claim him if they lose out on the Brian Dozier sweepstakes. Pretty good consolation prize.
  15. He would've been a great addition, I agree.
  16. Well one would presume that the problem is having that technology in places like Billings, MT or Eugene, OR and not necessarily the technology itself.
  17. Full coverage available here: http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/7140-Michael-Saunders-close-to-signing-with-Phillies
  18. You're comparing zone coverage vs time spent in the zone. Two separate entities that aren't dependant of one another.
  19. I think it's pretty likely that if they sign Bautista they won't be adding another outfielder.
  20. Wow!
  21. Jonn needs a timeout, Moderators.
  22. I like the deal a whole lot less with a mutual option but whatever, gives the team another kick at the can.
  23. Nice. Hopefully it comes with an option year.
