    They were both caught too far out, but I'm sure that's how they want these guys running the bases. Half way on a ball that CF has to turn his back on.

    That was probably the smartest thing Buck has ever said. I found myself nodding in agreement with him.

    That was my first reaction as well, but I think Bautista made the right decision in this situation. He should score on a single no matter what, so being at third isn't a huge advantage. If that ball gets off the wall he scores easily. He was just a little over aggressive on the read.

    Then don't open it Spanky. It's obvious that you want to cheer really hard and keep a positive attitude about the team, which is great. But there is a very real possibility that selling before the deadline makes sense for this team. What better place than a Blue Jays message board to discuss the possibility.

    Eaton was certainly a more valuable trade chip than Donaldson. That being said, Donaldson would still bring in a nice haul. If the Jays are out of the playoff race, I'd strongly support selling pieces off and move towards a rebuild. There are enough pieces that could help expedite the process.
