It would be in addition to guaranteed money. That's an interesting idea from Abom. Having incentive to promote yourself, your team and the league could butter both sides of the bread. Now there will be guys who just aren't that popular, ugly, aren't big social media guys etc. But it's a dog eat dog world where only the strong survive. There would also be an influx of middle aged dudes crying about what d-bags these guys must be to take selfies and promote themselves on Instagram because they're jealous of the chicks they bang and the cars they drive.

That is not a fastball by any definition and you used it in an attempt to illustrate Rowdy’s lack of bat speed. SJF made the same point and you doubled down on it. I’m not wrong here. I don’t think Tellez is very good. There’s like a 5% chance he’s a useful ML piece. I agree with you there.

Fine for you to say. However, Shatkins are running a baseball club. They're not going to take guys like Tellez, Bo, Biggio out of camp because of reasons I shouldn't need to explain to you. For the first time in a long time it appears that this club might have a bit of depth and everyone wants to nuke it and become the Baltimore Orioles this year. These motherf***ers will get their opportunity if they prove they've mastered the minors and are pounding down the door to the bigs. And no, Rogers doesn't give a s*** if Carlos Danger comes to one of the 81 games. I promise you you're nothing more than a fart in the wind to them. A piss in the ocean if you will.

I agree. There’s a reason why basketball doesn’t let you park some giant in front of the rim, it’s not within the spirit of the game. I embrace a lot of the forward thinking in baseball, but at some point the game has a purity to it that I don’t want to see disrupted. Having four players acting as infielders should be a rule, not a suggestion.
