  1. I honestly think it’s sort of crazy to think big league hitters wouldn’t be able to take advantage of tells like this Tipping pitches can easily be explained as release point or arm action, which teams identify and then take advantage of
  2. Luckily for the Jays they won’t have to worry about him then
  3. True. Braves have Strider and then Fried but after that it’s like Bryce Elder and AJ Smith Shawver with an injured Charlie Morton. Phillies might have a better 1-2-3 in Wheeler-Nola-Suarez by comparison The Rays were a shell of themselves by the time October came. Sure they had 99 wins but they weren’t the same team as they were early on
  4. Feels like the complaining about this trade will go on for years too If there was ever a group of people who need to “touch grass” it’s the guys incessantly complaining about this trade to this day
  5. Other than the Braves the other “top teams” all had major flaws The Dodgers had no pitching The Orioles staff sucks ass The Brewers lost their ace The Rays lost like three of their five best players (Franco, Rasmussen, Springs) For instance looking back on it you can easily argue the Phillies are much more prepared for the playoffs than Baltimore and probably LAD. I’m more interested in who can bring the best 26 men in October than who has the deepest 40 man roster to endure the 6 month regular season
  6. I’m not sure what you’re trying to say. Of course it’s easier to see on a screen with a pause button than in real time. He’s also apparently sitting 92-93
  7. Yup the chin is a big giveaway too. If you break down the pitches from the tweet above you can really see how he gets on top of the front leg as sort of a catapult action on the fastball (stiff front leg and chin reared back) and the change up he stays back on with a lower angle on the block leg He’s getting by with good enough stuff even at the AFL level but that would get exposed at the big league level I’d think
  8. The difference for me is everyone hated the Dickey trade right from the time it was announced. This one was generally well received with some people not liking it. Pretty standard reaction to any trade I don’t think it will ever be a net positive but it’s not like they got nothing in return. One of the games best defensive players playing a premium position Tonight would be a sick game to be at in Phoenix. Wheeler vs Gallen after last nights battle
  9. You f***ing guys need to stop crying over a 22 year old catcher who doesn’t know you exist I would fire Atkins and wish somebody else got to put together the 2024 team but not because of one trade Grown men simping for this guy is embarrassing
  10. Yup and the only holdovers are Altuve and Bregman. Elite organization
  11. f*** I love the Astros. They just continue to win
  12. He’s been butt cheeks
  13. I could be wrong but him and Yordan both feel like under appreciated superstars. Could be the bias most feel towards the Astros
  14. He’s been hitting Kyle Tucker sixth for three years. It’s a small miracle they do what they do
  15. So I guess this won’t be a litmus test for the high performance depot as he’s training privately
  16. Thank you for your service
  17. It’s the 1.2 or whatever WAR from Vlad that drags that # down
  18. Always been a Robbie Grossman fan
  19. Ya it’s like complaining about Bo. There are far bigger fish to fry than those two positions
  20. Good to see. He’s spending the whole offseason in Dunedin right? Here’s the litmus test for the High Performance Department
  21. Or Jorge Soler. I wonder if he gets three years? Feels risky but the Jays could use some more upside
  22. Sounds like a job for Mark Canha if Milwaukee declines his option
  23. Kirk is fat but at least he’s a guy you can pencil in for 2 WAR next year. He will be better next year I’m pretty confident in that. The team has bigger issues than at C
