  1. I think they would do this if they could cash Loperfido in (either in this trade or another trade). That opens up the lineup spot. Lukes becomes a bench player once Varsho is back. Roden stays in AAA or gets traded. Santander is a see you in 2026 dude. Cooked for 2025.
  2. Double header in Baltimore with a heat warning in effect. This is going to be a disgusting day so if the more disgusting team (hint: orange) wins one or two of these, don't cry too much.
  3. I like how the articles quotes Mariano Rivera's career earnings and says if Clase matches that the shares return like 20% on investment, lifetime. I wonder if the firms/brokers involved will suffer SEC repercussions.
  4. The Dominican native is in the midst of selling a portion of his future baseball income to people who buy shares of his stock, which is being sold at $12 apiece. The offering can raise as much as $3.6 million in exchange for as many as 300,000 shares in a sale structured by Finlete Funding, a San Diego-based startup focusing onathlete income-sharing deals. In exchange for the money upfront, Clase will return 3% of his future global baseball earnings to investors. LOL so he has to make another $200M in order for investors to turn $12 per share into $20? I wonder how many shares he sold. Hopefully none.
  5. This guy is a stud. Chance to have the best career of any Blue Jays SP prospect.
  6. The advertising for sports betting is so predatory these days. Just in your face, all time, during every sporting event. Such a glaring irony to have that shoved in our faces and then see players getting in trouble for gambling stuff. Like, what did everyone expect?
  7. I dunno man. They have some pitching prospects, finally, but the rotation still looks like a short term window thing. They could justify rentals or long term adds.
  8. Range is most of OAA and every other defensive metric Regardless, the original post remains wrong. Bo is probably below average but he does not have "the worst range of all starting SS in MLB"
  9. It's funny how much the Jays prospect values have changed. I look at that deal and Pinango is the toughest one to lose, to me.
  10. Vlad is kind of putting together a vintage Votto/Freeman season. A bit weird for a dude that can hit the ball so hard. But good weird, I guess. Can't complain about any 4 WAR year.
  11. I almost name dropped you as the t bag recipient
  12. Everyone who defended the organization, Shapiro, or Atkins at all in the last 12+ months gets to take such a huge victory lap. Ceaseless t-bag victory lap.
  13. Amazing start to this series If tomorrow is a close game, the whole pen should be available
  14. Yankees Sox Rays Astros all losing comfortably
  15. It's an offensive upgrade more than anything. Oswald Peraza is a very good defender. But they go from a hitter who is not MLB viable in Peraza to whatever McMahon does with the bat
  16. Yeah McMahon is like a 2 WAR (full season pace) upgrade for NYY even if he is a meh hitter
  17. Ryan McMahon has never had a wRC+ over 97
  18. Yeah the Padres probably ruined him. When he was 17 and killing A ball scouts LOVED him but he still had 57 Ks in 48 games and should have been handled more appropriately.
