  1. A blowout win where Estrada can soak all of the relief innings would be nice
  2. Personally looking forward to: The Canada Blue Jays sweeping the America Yankees during the Canada Day series; The fans of the Canada Blue Jays booing anything and everything to do with America during the 4th of July game The Canada Blue Jays being the heel/villain for the remainder of the MLB season but winning the World Series anyway and then not getting invited to the White House
  3. Yeah Toronto should swing big. I think the projection systems are underrating the Bench Mob as well.
  4. Can't seem to throw strikes on his rehab. People were saying the stuff looked great, touching 99.
  5. frankly, this is another must win game. we cannot let the Yankees leave town with a silver lining
  6. Fangraphs projects the AL East for the rest of the year to play like this: NYY 42-34 TBR 39-36 TOR 39-37 BOS 37-37 BAL 38-38 Which would result in these final standings: NYY 90-72 TOR 87-75 TBR 87-75 BOS 80-82 BAL 75-87
  7. Yeah it's insane. And that doesn't even mention Barriera who is finally back on the mound, and all of the other actual SP prospects who are solid but maybe don't have huge ceilings or are more in the relief prospect area. Yesavage Stephen Stanifer Rojas King Maroudis Tiedemann Bloss Watts-Brown Barriera Macko Lazaro Estrada? Fernando Perez? Carson Messina Silvano Hechavarria? Is there anything with Jackson Wentworth, Pat Gallagher, Grant Rogers, or Chay Yeager? Vancouver numbers. Gilberto Batista, Angel Bastardo, Kai Peterson, Nolan Perry, Ryan Jennings
  8. Everyone needs to look at Davis Schneider's stats right now Suddenly a beast and the RHB the Jays need
  9. But the Yankees had a +100 run differential! They are so much better!!!
  10. Guys like Cole and Sale could still pull it off with some luck and magic dust
  11. A little bit, 25% during that span
  12. You can already predict this eh Tries to pitch in September, shut down Pitches in 2026 but has TJS in May.
  13. Fractured elbow for Spencer Schwellenbach. Brutal. The Barves aren't describing it as super serious but it seems like one of those injuries that could get worse or beget other injuries.
  14. Lugo doesn't move the needle much. He's solid but more of the same with Gausman - Berrios - Bassitt - Schezer; more of a "get there" guy than a "World Series" guy. Fangraphs says his 2026 is a player option anyway so he might be a rental.
  15. Nimmala since June 1.... 40 wRC+ .162/.252/.263
  16. Alcantara, Cabrera, Henriquez, Faucher, Bender are all worthwhile additions. The Marlins will be a popular seller. They should trade a lot of arms.
  17. I don't think it's that catcher defensive value is underrated. More like, catchers cannot play as much due to the physical demands of the position so they are underrated by WAR based on a simple lack of volume. Or maybe WAR is missing some kind of positional adjustment because the position it so taxing. Wear and tear tariff. The rebuttal to that is obvious but the rebuttal to the rebuttal is something like - do we want to live in a world where a catcher can literally never be the MVP? Are catchers the relief pitchers of hitters?
  18. He has been better according to the fancy stats so far this year, but we can't throw out Berrios' multiple year track record of simply limiting runs (really his whole career if you ignore 2022). Somehow he continues to keep that ERA under 4.00 despite not having amazing stuff. Warren has 17 good starts in his career and the ERA is still over 4.
