  1. Actually I see someone more interesting already. Bye, Jacoby.
  2. Well Jacoby will strictly platoon so there's little chance of him tanking anything. I just hope he contributes a little bit in some of the counting stats, which my team has been mediocre at accumulating all year long. But yeah. I wasn't sure if he was even an upgrade on Smolinski...
  3. My big deadline acquisition was a Jacoby Ellsbury waiver add with the #20 priority, thanks in part I'm sure to a tactical smokescreen post on this forum upon his DFA from Los Osos Blancos. Fans of the Butt Stallions are understandably disappointed.
  4. I think the fences are slightly closer but the walls will be varying heights so, have to wait and see.
  5. I think he'd probably improve a bit even with the pitcher's park factor. Key factors being - absolutely no pressure and normal routine as a basic starting catcher.
  6. Wow, Ellsbury now PROJECTS for a ~90 wRC+. Just junk!
  7. For fantasy. Even guys who are actually hitting well like Grandal, Posey, Yadi, Gattis, Martin (more) have been very frustrating in fantasy for various reasons (extended slumps, terrible luck, inconsistent playing time, lack of fantasy counting stats, etc.)
  8. The bar is Rajai Davis and I'm not sure either is better
  9. Trade deadline slowly approaching! My main want: CF upgrade or failing that, an OF upgrade Would dangle any prospect. Would dangle most SP on my roster.
  10. Catching this year is AWFUL. The position is essentially flat after the top ~4 names because everybody sucks. I don't remember the position ever being so thin. Even Posey has been mediocre.
  11. Well... more wiggle room on the roster; don't have to make room for him. Fresh season would be upcoming for Darno.
  12. I'll like him more in the offseason I think.
  13. For others: April 11th, 2015. Me --> I actually have a bonus RP already so I have less than no interest. You'd have to pay me to roster Jim Johnson. Your thoughts? ---End Quote--- You --> I'd be concise: Lol @ BONUS Frieri!
  14. Yeah I've tried really hard to convince myself to trade for d'Arnaud and just can't find the thought process. I even offered some stuff a couple of months ago that I'm glad was not accepted because old Yadier is simply better on the roster right now.
  15. You can add another entire WAR for framing.
  16. Aaron Loup is actually really f***ing good. He should have been on the roster already.
  17. wtf!!!!!!!!!!!! sanchez is there best arm right now sham-piro cant get the axe soon enough
  18. Ryan McBroom got an Eyewitness Report on BP: Ryan McBroom Born: 04/09/1992 (Age: 24) Bats: Right Throws: Left Height: 6' 3" Weight: 230 Primary Position: 1B Secondary Position: LF Physical/Health Large body, extra-large muscular frame; filled-out upper half, lacks remaining projection Evaluator Steve Givarz Report Date 07/23/2016 Dates Seen 6/23-6/25/2016, 6/27/2016 Affiliate Dunedin Blue Jays (High A, Blue Jays) MLB ETA Risk Factor OFP Realistic Role Video 2018 Medium 45 40: Platoon/bench bat No Tool Future Grade Report Hit 40 Slightly closed stance, wide base; below-average bat speed, strength over bat speed swing, uphill swing path, makes hard loud contact when he connects; long swing, slow trigger, decent balance; fair pitch recognition, struggles on inner half; looks to extend on pitches away Power 50 Plus raw power; loud contact with strength to take the ball out to pull side and straight away; has loft on hit balls; plays down due to long swing and below-average hit utility Baserunning/Speed 30 Well-below average runner; 4.54 home-to-first, not a base-stealer Glove 50 Fair at first base, makes the routine plays; decent footwork around bag; lacks speed and arm for outfield, looks lost at times, first-base only, 30 on the grass Arm 40 Below-average arm; lacks carry on throws, doesn't play anywhere other than first Overall McBroom is limited to first base, which limits his overall value given. His plus raw power plays at average in game, and he has some value as a weak-side platoon player. Mild interest.
  19. How do we (publicly) know for sure that REESE has elite defense?
  20. Pentecost was considered a well rounded player who had 50(ish) tools across the board. The bottom line was "he's more athletic than a typical catcher." Even if he can never catch full time, I wonder if he can still carve out some kind of big league ceiling as a 60 hit 50 power player at some other position?
  21. No, this just tends to be the time of year that these changes happen for whatever reason. Teams wait until after the draft to make big shakeups for obvious reasons, and then they like to be considerate and give the employees plenty of time to find new gigs.
  22. Well he sucks. Not much else to it.
  23. Well all four of those guys aren't in the starting 9, which is all dickbutt looked at
