  1. Grant you can lick me where I fart
  2. The only thing I don't like about replay, aside from the implementation (time it takes), is how runners are expected to "stick" to bases with superhuman ability. It's just kind of silly and unrealistic.
  3. Replay just shows how deep some people's bias runs. You can show someone a play with an objective call in super slo-mo, and they'll still see whatever the heck they want to see.
  4. Real nice package for a rebuilding team!
  5. I do project him to keep on keeping on. Mainly I just think Stroman is and will be better. He got very unlucky this year + he has a skill set that you can easily envision making continual improvements, until he starts to lose velocity.
  6. Sure but all we care about is how good they will be in the future. Happ has been extremely effective all year and I have no hesitation in projecting him to be worse than the other three next year.
  7. Does it? I think it actually goes: Sanchez > Stroman > Estrada >> Happ With the caveat that they are all really close.
  8. So in this order the days of rest are... Estrada - 5 days rest Happ - 5 days rest Sanchez - 6 days rest Stroman - 5 days rest
  9. I'm comfortable with these four guys in any order. Man, the Jays rotation this year has been f***ing amazing. A miracle.
  10. Yadier Molina for sale! Tidy .307/.360/.427 line this year. Should be good for one or two more solid seasons.
  11. I didn't even realize Gattis cruised past 30 HR and kept C eligibility until you offered me this trade
  12. We need to transfer end of season rosters to the spreadsheet. If everyone with edit privileges can do a handful this week that would be greeeaaatt. Put a note in cell 22 that says "done"
  13. Ryon Healy to Dinger Evan Gattis to me agreed upon
  14. Not going to the Dome but I'll be at the Birds' Nest. If you want to say hi, I'll be the 5'2", 100kg Asian man with a Pepe shirt on
  15. I offered Trea Turner to almost every single person in the DDL
  16. ---Quote (Originally by TheHurl)--- I really want to build around Fernandez and Synder. I bought low on Finnegan and Bradley and hoped one of them would jump up along with Urias. I've made quite a few offers to upgrade to add a 3rd star pitcher and just have a really s*** offense but no one is biting. You have the talent to make it happen but I am not sure you want to move to much off the main team. I like guys on your farm but I want something that I love. The guys I like on your farm are Manaea, Kopech, Adames &Turner. Pieces that I think you'd move that I like from your main squad are Chris Davis and Iglesias. ---End Quote--- Chris Davis + Raisel Iglesias + Sean Manaea + Willy Adames + Michael Kopech for Jose Fernandez + Devin Mesoraco + Hunter Strickland ---End Quote--- Meso may belong to Boxy. I have to be prepared that he accept my deal ---End Quote--- Lemme know if he rejects. Even if he gets Meso we can adjust. Or you could just do this and say you snooze you lose... ---End Quote--- Sorry to be a pain. I can't go back to multiple average pieces. If I'm trading Fernandez it's to get a a top SS (Machado). If not I'll stick with the plan. I can just drop all my shortstops, and OF's and pick them back up in the waiver draft ---End Quote--- So Turner being involved doesn't move the needle at all? ---End Quote--- Nah. Votto might
  17. No, we are just trading seasons at this point. I'm looking forward to Davis destroying Cano in 2017.
  18. The TTOP is so real. It would be a cardinal f***ing sin in 2016, with Liriano and Stroman fresh, to allow either of them to face the order for a third time. I don't care if they have a perfect game going!
  19. That was a roaring success. When I say *every* I just mean every trade that keeps me up at night like Puig, Brantley, Dickerson
  20. Stroman fWAR in 2016: 3.2 Liriano fWAR in 2016: 0.4 Stroman projection: 3.47 ERA / 3.56 FIP Liriano projection: 3.89 ERA / 3.92 FIP (this is what Steamer shows right now on Fangraphs) Last 3 years - Stroman has more total WAR than Liriano even with a partial season in 2014 and nearly an entire season missing with the knee injury in 2015! And for the record, I voted Liriano. Don't act like there are no arguments for Stroman. He's f***ing good!
  21. Oh I know all about this. The percentages you're referring to are the expected platoon splits. So righties are expected to be 8.5% better against LHP than they are against RHP. What we do not know are the following two things: - Expected platoon split for a MLB team (and in which direction) - PA vs LHP that it takes for a team level platoon split to be 50% stable (or more or less stable; whatever)
