  1. I have arms available! Can move one or two of: Drew Pomeranz Adam Wainwright Hisashi Iwakuma Francisco Liriano Mike Fiers Hector Rondon Jim Johnson ~ Yadier Molina and Sergio Romo are super available for a fair pick/prospect. Not seeking very much, obviously. The Bargain Bin also contains: Wily Peralta Scott Schebler Derek Dietrich Juan Nicasio I would enjoy putting 2 or 3 things together and getting a CF that I like. I could move some other players I plan on keeping in the right deal (Iglesias, Dickerson, Manaea, Chris Davis, others).
  2. A lot of weird here. Why Ramos? Team doesn't need a catcher as he just blew up his knee. Why Weiters? Why Walker? Travis... Why Niese and Milone? I don't see how they fit. That seems like crazy money for Torres.
  3. Shopping List: 1B DH LF RF Backup C Utility MLB RP x 2 (at least one LHRP) Swingman / depth SP candidates x 3+ Depth RP candidates x 3+ Free agent list sucks. I don't think they should spend big on anyone other than EE. Hopes: Beltran would be sweet. Bautista would be OK at the right price. Thames would be sweet. Ziegler or Uehara. Boone Logan or Cecil. Steve Pearce! Conger or Castro to backup. Bud Norris and Trevor Cahill please. I don't really want any part of Fowler or Cespedes. Or Reddick or Desmond. Unless the market falls out of one of them. Trades please.
  4. Why the dichotomy? How about the model of signing good players and drafting good players and having tons of money to do that. It's so easy!
  5. f***. Gord's list is bad. No need to be polite.
  6. One guy to trade for from every team (maybe two). Ryan Buchter Andrew Chafin Jake McGee Ray Black Yasiel Puig Billy Hamilton (Joey Votto) Corey Knebel Juan Nicasio (Cutch!) Tommy Pham Justin Grimm Chris Withrow Andrew Knapp Derek Dietrich Josh Smoker Blake Treinin (Wilmer Difo) Dillon Overton Kole Calhoun Preston Tucker (Josh Fields) Evan Scribner Joey Gallo (Ryan Cordell) Trevor May! Zach Duke Matt Strahm JD Martinez! (Shane Greene) Trevor Bauer (just kidding) I guess I won't bother with the AL East because trades won't happen.
  7. Bud Norris is a must-sign for me this offseason and I'm not even kidding. The profit potential is off the charts. Just stick him in the pen from day 1 and watch the surplus value roll in. $/WAR World Series here we come
  8. They can have Osuna and Pompey!
  9. Yazl Pweeg plz
  10. Jays' AFL arms (including Conner Greene) all have terrible numbers. Maybe it's the run environment partly. Maybe they suck. Who knows!
  11. BA likes the Blue Jays a lot!
  12. Easiest ones for me would be McGuire over Pentecost and Ramirez over Smith Jr. I don't think any of the other comparisons are easy at all.
  13. Let's play a game. Pick one prospect from each group. The other(s) evaporate(s), say, in an expansion draft. Young Sluggerz --- Vlad Jr. or Bo Bichette Up the Middle --- Urena or Alford Highly Touted Arms, Suspect Ratios --- Harris or Greene Power Pitcher vs. Power Bat --- SRF or Tellez Spy vs. Spy --- Pentecost or McGuire The Lansing Guys --- Maese or Borucki Chubby Tweeners --- Ramirez vs. Smith Jr. The Other Lansing Guys --- Rios or Perdomo or Zeuch [pick only one!] Support your tough picks with arguments.
  14. This is extremely wrong. WAR is a very good way to evaluate relief pitchers. There may be better ways to look at relievers that pitch in a lot of high leverage situations. Check your statistical privilege man
  15. Grant, we are so alike, yet so different. How is this so? Which one of us is the evil one?
  16. lmao Morrow was like a 3 WAR starter for the Jays.
  17. But pitching on back to back days, sometimes three days in a row, and pitching with shorter warm up time --> all linked to injury scientifically.
  18. If anything Holliday is a slight downgrade in projected talent/WAR. It's an either/or situation.
  19. I think there probably is at this point although if his market is that bad he's much more likely to negotiate one of the standard 2 or 3 year deals that we've seen old guys like Beltran sign for.
  20. NO IT'S SERIOUS BUSINESS SPANKY. serious
  21. Yes x100 PK Subban is the perfect example from hockey
  22. Osuna should definitely start..... ..... packing his bags! Trade him now
  23. "The Blue Jays Should Rebuild" I think
  24. This thread should be retitled The Offseason SIGN ERIC THAMES AT ALL COSTS Thread IMO
