  1. May not be room at AA for more than Yesavage right now. They have a decent rotation already with Grant Rogers, JWB, Yesavage, and three sleeper prospects in Watson, Dominguez, and Harrison. Stanifer has been piggy-backing as a 4 IP reliever all year so this is his chance to be a normal SP, probably. Start a game for the first time and go 5 IP for the first time.
  2. I'm guessing he slipped a bit in the draft because of those weird mechanics. Teams thinking it won't hold up.
  3. Vlad remains endlessly frustrating. Should be so much better.
  4. Some interesting movements this time. Time to drop certain dudes aggressively and move others up who are performing or finally returning from injury. IMO.
  5. Crazy how quickly things change. Last year, the Franchise was at risk of contraction. Ross Atkins and Mark Shapiro looked like limp-dick bottom 10 execs. The team could not draft or develop. Many players on the team were in decline, or past their peak. Vlad and Bo were set to leave and the window was going to shut. There were no good prospects on the way. The only players under control would have been 2 WAR flawed players like the fat catcher Kirk and his swiss-cheese swinging centrefielder Varsho. The payroll was bloated short term, and perhaps the only good thing you could say about the organization was that they luckily were not saddled with lots of long term commitments. Fast-forward to June 2025. The team is cooking with gas. Bo is back. Vlad is here forever. Kirk is a top 5 C in baseball again. Barger is a stud. Clement is a divine defender. There are tons of positive developments on the farm and prospects rising the ladder. There are signs of good MLB development from guys like Barger, Lukes, Y-Rod. The org can produce an elite reliever at will - Little, Flu, Fisher. The veteran starting pitchers are still themselves. Ross Atkins is googling how many World Series he needs to win to get a statue. Connorp and Grant barely post. My erectile dysfunction is 20% better. Wild.
  6. Not to mention the waves of prospects climbing the ladder. Shrek and Flamingo are dunking AAA already. Ye Savage has his next start in AA - a few weeks of domination there and he can be the SP5 on the big team for the push.
  7. Dude has played 16 games and already has 2 all-time catches and multiple other five star catches. Is he the best CF ever or is this just a heater? Offensively, he was good enough in the minors... he can probably scrape something approaching competence together in time even if it comes with a 35% K rate. He hit the ball 115.2 mph in AAA this year so he's not hopeless, that's a solid top end velo so worst case scenario he could be a guess hitter like Michael A Taylor
  8. waves... the waves are here
  9. Not anymore. A week ago I think Dingler was ahead of Kirk in fWAR. Carlos Narvaez is somehow at 2.5 fWAR and still ahead of Kirk but xwOBA says it's partly luck.
  10. One more box to tick then he is a potential callup. If he dominates for several weeks at AA, why not?
  11. Lame effort by Ernie. I hate the bunt there. You already have the lead...
  12. Every pitching chance tonight by Schneider was fine and maybe optimal, lol. Wow Clase!
  13. Did baseball solve Little? Just never swing...
  14. time is also not on Ernie's side as he is already 29 and his overall offensive profile is pretty fringe, so some minor skill loss could turn him into a bench player at best. this is anecdotal but it feels like the players with very high swing rates don't age as well. there is this funny archetype of MLB player we see now, where they live in AAA until their late 20s then debut at their physical peak for a few years of surprisingly good production before they turn into a pumpkin
  15. They can have Joey Loperfido and Will Wagner!
  16. Funny, Eno Sarris has Bowden Francis ahead of Berrios and Scherzer in his rest of season pitcher rankings https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6375745/2025/06/03/sarris-mlb-starting-pitcher-rankings-rest-of-2025-season/
  17. Soroka is a nice trade target Sandy Alcantara would be a neat buy-low Those are probably my favourite 2 options from teams who will obviously sell That + the idea of plucking a Rockies SP for free and instantly fixing them
  18. what is the point of letting connorp post at all?
  19. Kirk is the obvious one. Clear #2 C in the AL. You can make a decent argument for Gausman and Bassitt - 14th and 17th in AL SP fWAR with ERAs under 4; 9th and 16th in FIP; Bassit tied for 4th most Wins. Brendon Little is the dark horse All Star candidate. 5th best qualified ERA with tons of whiffs and 10 holds. Vlad doesn't quite deserve it this year. Same for Ernie. Both could slide in if guys above them in production cannot play, though. Vlad might just make it because Vlad.
