  1. I will only complain about Berrios not going one more if Pina really blows this and another RP needs to be used. Otherwise, a win is a win and it'll be nice to give the pen a night off without Berrios having to sweat
  2. Definitely feels like one of those games...
  3. He has MLB stuff and is a legit prospect. Plus fastball and slider. BA already has him #5 on Toronto prospect list which they recently updated
  4. Scrub? Colson Montgomery is probably their only good player
  5. Here is one sneaky trade target: Kris Boob Itch. Arb 3 next year and will get a big raise. Free agent after 2026. Flamed out of the rotation and was a good reliever in 2024 and is now a good starter. 2,9 fWAR and counting - he has been as good as Mackenzie Gore and Max Fried. Stuff+ doesn't completely buy it but he is a lefty. FIP, xFIP, xERA are all good. The Royals have a horrendous offense and need a bat boost. Like, they have some terrible position player stat lines and aren't even a good defensive team now so they have lost their identity completely. You would try to trade for him and extend him before free agency like Berrios.
  6. I'd still boot Green. I guess Sandlin has options so he could go to AAA instead.
  7. Berrios, Bassitt, Lauer, Scherzer, Gausman, Berrios vs. Burke (4.83 FIP), Civale (5.36 FIP), Houser (3.09 FIP), Severino (4.45 FIP). Lopez (4.21 FIP), Springs (4.77 FIP) Anything less than 4-2 is unacceptable. 5-1 is par for the course. You get one stinker vs Houser. Need to rock the other five. Always feels like Toronto has trouble getting up mentally for these matchups.
  8. I also don't think the Brewers are desperate to upgrade on Ortiz. He has been decent in the last month and is playing good D and projects to be okay still.
  9. Woodruff wasn't really missing bats on rehab and his velocity is way down. I'd be a bit hesitant. That being said, if he returns to form and the Brewers put him on the block, that's everyone else's #1 target and the style of trade the Brewers would want would be like when they dumped Hader mid-season for a replacement reliever + a few prospects. Bo straight up for Woodruff might be fair but it probably takes Bo + prospects which is annoying.
  10. On the position player side of things, I don't see why the Jays need anything. The only exception would be if any of Varsho, Santander, or Gimenez aren't actually coming back this year for some reason. If they are all returning, the offensive/defense will be a complete unit. Davis Schneider suddenly looking like a competent platoon player again is the final touch. Focus all efforts on the best SP on the trade market + an elite setup man.
  11. The Barves control everyone through 2026 other than Ozuna and Iglesias. They will just re-rack and try again next year. Same as Toronto did this year.
  12. Barger must have a little fatigue or minor soreness
  13. The Blue Jays announced a flurry of roster moves this morning, headlined by their move to place second baseman Andres Gimenez on the 10-day injured list. Outfielder Joey Loperfido was recalled to the big league roster to replace Gimenez. In a second set of moves, right-hander Ryan Burr was activated from the 60-day injured list. Right-hander Lazaro Estrada was optioned to Triple-A and outfielder Will Robertson was designated for assignment to make room for Burr on the active and 40-man rosters respectively.
  14. A blowout win where Estrada can soak all of the relief innings would be nice
  15. Personally looking forward to: The Canada Blue Jays sweeping the America Yankees during the Canada Day series; The fans of the Canada Blue Jays booing anything and everything to do with America during the 4th of July game The Canada Blue Jays being the heel/villain for the remainder of the MLB season but winning the World Series anyway and then not getting invited to the White House
