It has to depend on the specific guy they are getting and the specific young dudes they're giving up. I don't know a whole lot about basketball but I feel like Anunoby and Poeltl would both be a lot harder to give up than Wright or Siakam.

From a fantasy baseball perspective, Petricka has always been on my watch list in deep leagues. His potential was evident in his first few years, it seemed like with some minor changes he could easily become a high end Holds guy. He hasn't lost any velocity. I'm sure he's probably just as good as Tepera or Carlos Ramirez. Man the Jays pen is sad... -

God bless you, Sammy. It is good timing to leave though to be honest. The new guy can do the cuts and waiver draft. Who was the runner up last time? Who is he top free agent on the main board? I don’t post enough to know. Have we promised anyone a spot? Would hate to forget that.

I feel like Morales is a sunk cost and Bautista is a marginal upgrade on him. I won’t make a numerical argument for it but that’s my sense. I’d probably dump Morales for nothing (like, retain most of his salary to get a reliever) and sign Jose for a few million. He would have to want to play part time and move between different positions. But of all the potential moves out there it’s hard to justify doing that. Surely there are superior free agents left who wouldn’t cost very much and would be better than Jose.
