  1. I think something like - 1/2 of what Jose Quintana went for. Or 2/3 of what Gerrit Cole went for. So Toronto would need one of their top 4 prospects to start, and then at least one good kicker to go with him. You can also look at the Sonny Gray trade, I guess (Kaprelian, Mateo, and Fowler).
  2. Thanks for the scouting report, Robert IV.
  3. To be honest retooling is more fun than competing. All of a sudden a bunch of guys who were kind of on the periphery of my fantasy baseball radar a couple of years ago are now Blue Jays!
  4. Chance Adams has had pedestrian numbers since he left A+. Billy McKinney is also the type of return that a loser seller settles for.
  5. I'll lift the veil here though - "I heard his trackman readout is nuts" is just a board meme.
  6. Terminator said this in the other thread but I think he's right - Drury will actually have four years of control after this one. He'll certainly be under 3.000 years of service time after 2018. If Toronto keeps him down for a bit then maybe he'll even dodge Super 2 status? Not that that matters.
  7. Would have preferred Drury + one of the intriguing prospect arms (even Swanson or Stephan or whatever). I don't really see how McKinney contributes to an MLB team, given the fact that he's probably LF only and he can't seem to figure out how to get his power and hit tools to come through simultaneously. Slight upgrade on DSJ? Maybe McKinney's trackman readouts are nuts though. I heard Drury's are.
  8. Nobody has even mentioned Erik Swanson or Trevor Stephan! Or Clarke Schmidt!
  9. The Yankees have so many interesting prospects, it's absurd.
  10. I think someone on the twitter said he is going to Lansing, which might mean Noda is going up. Or maybe they will salvage the useful parts from both Noda and Spangenberg and make one very useful Frankenstein player?
  11. Everyone should be happy that the Oh signing turned into any type of prospect return. A+++++ Shatkins When a team expresses interest in your 36 year old RHRP throwing 91-92, who was replacement level last year, you don't mess around. You close that deal ASAP because it's a buyer's market for that type of s***, always.
  12. I think my Biggio comp, based solely on profile, would probably be... Chris Coghlan?
  13. I've never seen him play of course. I was just half-remembering scouting reports.
  14. I would love Drury as the second piece.
  15. Isn't the defense as big of a question mark for Biggio as the K's? As in, he might not be a viable 2B or 3B.
  16. outspace Bumgarner is starting to smell like Felix
  17. 61% GB rate. Good lord, Eric.
  18. Your team is actually pretty good for someone to take over. The base is not weak at all.
  19. Smoak has a $6M no-brainer option for 2019. Wait it out until after 2019 and re-assess, or try to extend him now? He's keeping all of the gains from 2017. HR rate is down somewhat but the BB% is up and the overall offense is basically just as good. He will be 32 next year. OR - trade him now or in the offseason if the return is nice?
  20. Yeah you'd think some team would find him attractive enough, as a pinch hitter and a guy who can at least ostensibly play some positions. I mean Scuba Steve Pearce returned a prospect worth following.
  21. Funny. Toronto traded like one back-end top ~30 prospect for Solarte, and his talent hasn't changed, so I'm pretty sure they aren't asking for anything too lofty for him. I didn't even realize he was at 0.0 WAR. Thought he was having an average-ish season.
