  1. Hunter Strickland is very smart
  2. I'm not sure what is going on with jays_fever's last pick. I'm inclined to say that he can no longer trade it, and he has until the end of the day tomorrow to make that lapsed pick or else it's forfeit.

Pendleton is very wrong here Ottawa should have dealt Hoff for the picks, then maybe just signed a free agent or two to meet the cap floor lol. Demanding a skater for Hoffman is just absurd malpractice
  4. I can’t wrap my head around this trade. I feel like Baez should kind of suck over time
  5. The pick should already be dissolved, you needed to do any cuts or call ups by the deadline if you wanted to save the pick
  6. I’ll take two 2018 college guys - Greyson Jenista and Jackson Kowar. QueenKitty back up for one, assuming he doesn’t need a PM

Domi for days. Galchenyuk demonstrably is not very good. Just a one way soft body dude with some hands.
  9. It also helps a lot that one of this year’s scrubs, Sammy G, is doing decent stuff. Refreshing SRF’s rations this year are pretty sick; he’s getting exciting
  10. Yeah this return for Brach is nearly without value, and he is getting saves and holds with some ratio upside. The Lively thing was just weird timing. He has always been a K/BB guy and there was a point where his ratio after a few starts was like 5:1
  11. Keith Law’s opinions on any one prospect should be ignored because his job is literally impossible. He is supposed to assess and evaluate every prospect for every team PLUS new draftees and amateurs. Teams employ dozens of people to do that properly. What he actually does is apply his a priori assumptions to the profiles that he gleans from other sources, working in his own very limited viewings when possible. It’s worthless.
  12. He clearly means he’s not a SS positionally. That’s very divergent from everything else, which basically says Smith is a fringe PLUS shortstop and should stick easily
  13. Brach to Speedy for 2019 3rd and 5th I’m promoting Seranthony I would flip my 2019 3rd for a pick in this draft. I think I’d prefer to have the name now than the pick a year from now
  14. Looking to flip Brad Brach for something of mediocre value, maybe a pick this draft and a 2019 3rd. Some of the indicators are trending down but he does have the highest SwStr of his career and will likely be the closer for most of the rest of this year since Britton will be dealt

  16. I am going to bed and will be busy all day tomorrow, who wants to take a couple of names for me?
  17. I agree. And look at a team like Atlanta - when you get guys like Acuna and Albies filtering up (or Vlad and Bo...) fortunes can turn around pretty f***ing fast in 21st Century Major League Baseball. There's nothing more lame than promoting elite prospects onto some scorched earth, tanking team with no short term chance to compete. BUT you can obviously replace Solarte so you still trade him if the prospect has some shimmer. And then you get a new kind of fat kind of UTIL kind of a good hitter guy.
  18. Spankkkkyyyyyyyyy Come out to piiiiiiiiickkkkkk
  19. His only argument was simply that the Cubs traded Gleyber for Chapman and won the WS.
  20. Garrett Hampson and Jon Loaisiga were basically the top of my board, probably would have taken them very high in this draft if I had any high picks.
