    Taylor Hearn + a PTBNL Hearn is good Very un-Pirates though to trade a guy like Hearn for a reliever... considering their position in the standings. I don't really get it.

    He was at 3.113 BEFORE 2018. So he's probably rolling over 4.000 this year regardless... only needs like 60 days of service time to do it and he should have it.

    Giles has 2 years of control after 2018. The + is probably not a very good prospect. But a sleeper prospect would be fun (like Josh Rojas). Oh f*** what about AJ REED!? Gimme that post-hype beast.

    Osuna ostensibly should be a PR nightmare in noise only. 98% of fans don't really give a s*** if someone on their team has a plea agreement to a domestic assault on their record - they'll still go to games and watch on TV. So just letting Osuna return to the team and ignoring the noise should be a rational decision. BUT I guess this is one of those asymmetrical population things where the intolerant minority over time ends up dictating what the whole "values".     I will never get over Grant's Justin Upton comp for Billy McKinney. I don't care how you try to explain it, it still makes no sense and is way too funny. Billy f***ing McKinney.

    I think I can milk another year out of this before I need to nuke my roster. Donaldson is the big blow so far this year. Absolutely nothing from him. My pitching strategy is obviously flawed too.

    This is why I prefer language like "95th percentile outcome" instead of ceiling. Talking in absolutes is dumb. Billy McKinney could hit .260 consistently with 30+HR per year in like... his 99.8th percentile outcome. His 95th percentile, or "reasonable ceiling", is probably something closer to Michael Brantley

    Well so does Travis, evidently. He's not under a bus. He's going to play basically every day as soon as they move a body or two.

    It makes all the sense there is to have Gurriel playing every day. He has better tools than Travis across the board, and better tools than Diaz except for defense. And younger than both. Travis is still playing, he's just sharing time with Diaz. They really need to clear out Solarte and Granderson
