    Yeah Groshans spent half his games at third. He’s not going to play short for long. I would put Orelvis over Hiraldo (as a prospect generally but also here because Hiraldo ain’t a shortstop either)

    - Thehurl split up his Ohtanis - Correa traded to p2f for Tatis Jr. plus - Albies for Senzel is a fun trade that did occur - NJH sold most of his old vets for s***** young players and probably won't make the playoffs this year - jays_fever was deemed inactive and therealmin rose from the grave to take his team over - silvergun is kind of off the messageboard and should be emailed for trade talks - boxy and bts have a bet this year and both think they are the team to beat - TCA and jaysblue posted a lot that they wanted to make a trade but then when anyone inquired it became obvious that they don't really like making trades - we need to figure out the cuts and waiver draft soon

    Biggest disappointment with Teoscar was the defense. His profile went from fringe CF to DH in a year. His 107 wRC+ talent from 2018 therefore goes from nice to garbage. He needs to hit a lot more. I don't see how that's possible with his peripherals.. I guess it is but he would literally have to pull the JD Martinez now.

    Teoscar and McKinney have like, a 2% collective chance of becoming one long term piece. I am confident in that assessment. DYEWB?

    How much money do you think Marwin will get? He made like $5M in arb 3. His salary will be dumpable in 2021 if he sucks then. The team will only be paying him to be a 1 WAR player in all likelihood, and he'll have upside comfortably above that.

    Free agency is a market inefficiency right now. If Toronto can lock up a versatile, 29 year old, league average-ish position player (Marwin) for 2020 and maybe 2021 right now, then they should.

    Agree with cutting Morales, of course. I'd rather sign Marwin for 2 or 3 years. I imagine that Marwin/Moose are waiting for the Machado domino to fall to see if a disappointed suitor will pony up something half-good.

    Well they wouldn't have to if it's just a minor league deal with a ST invite, which Axford is probably hoping to do better than. I think he will end up settling for that with Toronto and then he probably won't even make the team. I wonder if he'll go to Buffalo or just retire at that point.

    SS prospect depth is nuts now because every organization realizes that their future 3B and 2B will likely have been SS prospects. So this is basically a list of SS+3B+2B prospects.

    I was thinking this is well recently. For some players, in the current climate, the highest AAV of their career might be arb 3.

    Not sure he would even be in the top 5 DFA candidates. Even in the MIF I would DFA Urena before Travis.

    I would no idea how injury claim calculations work in Ontario, let alone Texas. It's $200k to $1M - that is a very big number for some some bumps and scrapes and hurt feelings (Clemens). The press release says both players are reporting to spring training in a couple of weeks. I would guess it's not an astronomical USA style number because the lawyer knows they don't have substantial or career threatening injuries. The trial would take forever so if they file now, and then Capel finds out his skull fracture caused a hematoma that ruined his vision and his hit tool, his lawyer could maybe do something to increase the claim amount.

    It's been a month. Put your ugly sock in this "career is over" BS. I once had diarrhea for a month. The main benefit of this lawsuit for Clemens will be a convenient context to explain his failure to make it in baseball.

    I hate prospect projection talk where people try to figure out where a prospect will "end up". Players will "end up" wherever the MLB roster dictates. Depending on his teammates, Vlad will either play 1B/DH or be a s***** 3B. It is objectively good to try to develop your prospects with as much versatility as possible (and the best way to do this is to simply have them play the position at the top of their reasonable skill set).

    All of these lists / rankers just use MLB Rookie eligibility as their qualifying criteria.
