    Timmy is one of those guys who smells awful but will probably put together a fair number of very fantasy relevant seasons in the next decade despite a low OBP. Like an Ian Desmond type. His K rate reduction and position make the Odor comp bad.

    Watched a single youtube video bat seems quick enough there is an obvious mechanical flaw in his load that probably saps any real pop. might be correctable without too much effort.

    I believe I read that Manoah was the best statistical college pitching prospect in the draft, based on production (K, BB rates, batted ball profile, same handed batter and opposite handed batter profile)

    Wall has always been a prospect who has under-performed his tools - the speed seems to have declined, he's never put it together defensively, never found a power stroke. The one thing he can do is put the bat on the ball. Lucky for him, that's the single most important thing. He actually might not be much different than Dwight Smith Jr., all things considered. DeJesus is way too wishful.

    Scouts have been calling him a left fielder for a while now. They might be wrong, of course, but I don't think the industry people really consider him a CF prospect right now.

    I mean, you are absolutely right. Most short guys don't make it because they literally cannot throw hard enough to make it because of their stupid f***ing little arms and tiny boy bodies. Like, they aren't even getting scouted in high school because they are throwing 79 or they are not getting scouting out of college because they are throwing 88 with no physical projection at all. Marcus is an exception because he does throw hard. After it becomes obvious that he is an exception, people should stop comparing him to the class of short people - it has no real bearing on his outcome. Short guys will also tend to have stupid little tiny girl hands, which can't spin the baseball the same way and have trouble throwing effective changeups. Anyway, my Pardinho post really had nothing to do with his height, just his age and distance from the majors and already having elbow soreness and stuff.
