    If someone analyzes the strength of respective schedules and can show that an owner got f***ed by the computer, I am willing to manually tweak some weeks. Also, we are adding 2 IL slots for 2020 in light of expected Covid cases.

    Here is what we are going with for the schedule, unless there are strong objections: - First week will be short (4 days) rather than merge it into an 11 day week. This lets us add one more matchup. - There will only be 4 playoff teams. This lets us add one regular season matchup. - The schedule is just randomized with no divisional bias. - Top 4 teams in total standings make the playoffs. - It will be an 8 week regular season then with 2 weeks of playoffs. This means that the divisions are essentially irrelevant this year, even though we will still have them (just so I don't have to re-enter them in 2021). Winning your division does not guarantee a playoff spot.

    MLB season starts on a Thursday. Have our first week be 4 days long or merge it with week 2? Having a short week 1 would let us have one more matchup in an already short season.

    He's a blogger who is into the amateur side and seems to do some hobby scouting, at least. He's not an insider by any means but I think he wants to be a scout or something and knows some scouts or industry adjacent people. Not a huge fan to be honest. He'll commonly say some arrogant stuff and then just delete it if it looks bad in hindsight. He slammed the Trent Palmer pick as "the worst in the draft" a while ago and basically said Toronto in giving a future reliever in Palmer so much money had backed themselves into a corner RE: signing Martin and Frasso. Looking now and the tweet is gone. I think I said "well this will be a dumb s*** opinion when they sign everybody"

    I would be shocked, yes. These players have smart representatives who are capable of seeing the unique downside risks in not signing in this context.

    Extremely hard to imagine any player from this draft turning down a reasonable offer, particularly college players. There is a non-zero chance that Covid will mess up the draft in 2021 too, either from a second wave or the economic fallout of this 2020 wave. Nick Frasso isn't going to turn down half a million dollars and Austin Martin isn't going to turn down whatever it is that Toronto can offer him.

    On the general subject of board improvement, is there a technical issue with new signups? I tried to make a new account a couple of weeks ago before this one was reactivated and it did not work - I never received the confirmation email.
