Scorched earth needs to include the front office and probably ownership. Sell the whole team.
A lot of the Rockies terrible FA signings in past years smell like ownership meddling, at least to me...
And Emerson Hancock.
They have a fantastic farm system, no doubt, but it doesn't take much for a prospect crop to disappoint. If Gilbert blows his arm out and Kelenic or Rodriguez end up as just an average player that probably normalizes the whole crop. Noelvi Marte is a high risk prospect even right now and Rodriguez is far enough away that he has to be considered at least moderate risk.
Toronto had a similar crop a year or two ago: Vlad and Bo were comparable to Rodriguez and Kelenic. You could probably have comped Marte to someone to Groshans in context. Pearson might have been better than any of their current P prospects.
Yeah the automated emails are the main plus. It's also nice to have everything in one place though - you don't need to look at the free agent list, your pre-rankings, the draft order, and this BJMB, all in separate places.
Narrator: The Mariners would win 61 games in 2010. With the 2nd overall pick in the 2011 draft they selected Danny Hultzen, who would never throw an MLB pitch for Seattle.
TBH I kind of enjoy the endless suffering of the Angels. Baseball needs loser teams and there are only, what, five true loser franchises right now?
I do hope Mike Trout gets traded and wins a world series when he's 37 though.
LMAO Vlad's first DWL game...
K, GO, GO, GO.
Three balls hit into the dirt at about 45 degrees. Classic.

I don't think either front office cares in any conscious way, but they are still humans and humans can't outthink their biases. There are certain fallacies that will always operate in the brains of men.
Really too bad the Rays and Jays are in the same division. Otherwise, the Snell trade fit would be so obvious.
