  1. He turned a relatively routine play for most outfielders into a home run He shouldn't smile for a week
  2. The 2022 Blue Jays are officially the worst good team in history Horrible viewing experience
  3. It would have been like a two star catch Pretty routine unless it's Yordan Alvarez or Manny Ramirez out there
  4. Odds of pulling a groin are probably higher than beating it out lol
  5. Man f*** this s*** already
  6. Yeah I wouldn't be super interested either. Type of skill set that falls off a cliff if he loses a bit of bat speed. If he has a great 2023 I would definitely not be interested in a big extension If he has a bad or mediocre 2023 I might be interested in a pillow contract extension though!
  7. Big foul territory could boost defensive metrics as far as I understand Basically, Chapman in Oakland could make catches in "zones" that don't even exist in other ballparks
  8. No clue on this one His UZR/150 is about the same as his past two years (7.5 vs 8.8. vs 6.4 this year) and depicts him as a steady plus 3B but not the +12 run 3B he was when he first entered the league. At this point I would just say it's small sample noise in OAA.
  9. holy s*** what a psycho terrible sign for the Red Sox
  10. Schwarber 27 dongs already. Could hit 50?
  11. Mullins - star Rutschman - future star Santander, Hays, Mountcastle, Mancini - four solid bats Pitching - surprisingly decent
  12. Didn't he have a heart issue? I wonder if he is having a mental breakdown or something Dude is walking away from $77M
  13. Any catcher trade would be a significant move Nobody gets Danny Jansen for peanuts!
  14. No matter how you depict the problems and characterize the situation, it's clear that Toronto is at a bit of a crossroads. Approaching some major decision points. And it's not at all obvious what they will or can do. - Coaching changes? - Kikuchi role change, DFA, phantom injury? - Big lineup changes for guys like Biggio and Bo? - Trade a catcher? - Trade for relief? SP? - Trade for a LHB? Do they push more minors chips in with big deals this deadline, like they did with Berrios? Or is it smaller stuff?
  15. Yeah good one, he has big buzz
  16. I don't know anything about him but that far down the projections systems... I would just use them as a flag really. I would not place a ton of value on how good they think he is, but that's interesting nonetheless.
  17. Carroll could be that good. His tool set compares with some of those players. Marco Luciano Jordan Walker Marcelo Meyer Gunnar Henderson Noelvi Marte Pete Crow Armstrong Those are six other names to watch, who could debut in the next couple years. Bottom 2-4 might not have the tools to be comparable to the names you listed though.
  18. I guess, but there are a few years left for him to develop. I'd like to see his approach change. It's possible. In my head, he wasn't this wild last season.
  19. Bo takes some of the worst swings imaginable. Balls three feet off the plate in the dirt.
  20. Toronto is 4th in wRC+ behind only the Astros, Yankees, and Dodgers. And that is despite some specific players underperforming. Their offensive approach is fine generally speaking!
  21. You could see it on his face He is doing everything he can with the media to tell the front office to fix the problem Insane to see from Chuckles
