  1. Are there any hockey sites like BA/BP that do regularly updated rankings and scouting report on prospects throughout the season and offseason?
  2. I actually own Butler in the LoD sooooo I guess I just peed the bed.
  3. wow, -0.8 fWAR already. what a weird contract for Billy Beans to give out. you know he's already pulling his hair out and wishing he could just platoon Ike and Canha (or whoever) without Billy's contract getting in the way.
  4. Find the nearest dick, and eat it
  5. Basically, everyone should just expect these guys to not sign but be excited if they do. Any type of thinking / analysis beyond that is kind of silly.
  6. Seriously, who even cares about how many heart beats Shin Soo Choo has left? He's been replacement level for like 800+ PA. It's very probably over.
  7. Why is this a thing? Clay Buchholz is an SP2 alert. Eat my dust, BTS alert.
  8. + this Blue Jays regime has shown an affinity for injured and potentially undervalued amateurs.
  9. The Blue Jays have already gotten something like $3-4 million dollars in hypothetical value from Colabello. The trick will be to cut ties with him at the right time, so that he doesn't give that all back with a slump before getting DFA'd/demoted/traded/euthanized. IIRC Juan Francisco was well over 1 fWAR at one point last year, but ended up at 0.8. He's the cautionary tale. Month / PA / wOBA Apr / 41 / .376 May / 85 / .432 Jun / 69 / .259 Jul / 69 / .367 Aug / 51 / .182 1st half: .359 2nd half: .251 With Colabello's extremely negative defensive value and PD stats, he could give back his 0.4 fWAR in like, one week of s***** play. Don't marry the guy. Also his neck is too skinny and his head is too small and he sort of looks like a goomba. 5.8 BB% 24.7 K% .169 ISO .432 BABIP Are these well and good projectable peripherals for a DH/1B? No...

  11. At this point you have to think they just make him a reliever and pray that he can stay healthy.
  12. Bundy shut down for season. Shoulder. No surgery, supposedly. TINSTAAPP eat a dick, Baltimore
  13. Pretty good. He's a high leverage reliever with SP eligibility. It's always nice to expand the pen at some point in the season. 5 holds and a save since June 7th.
  14. Definitely a throw-away at this point. Ugh, what a debauchery. I still think he has fantasy relevant talent but he's stopped getting consistent playing time in Baltimore so I couldn't hold any longer. Mike Fiers (FA pickup) --> traded for Fowler --> traded for Pearce --> traded for nothing In the end, nothing became nothing. Should have kept Fiers though.
  15. My quest to own the entire Cubs rotation is 80% complete. Can someone trade me Lester?

That explains a lot. Hard to fault the Bruins for not wanting to pay him 7.5M per year. Still, get a f***ing useful player back for someone like Hamilton.
  17. Trade targets: Cueto Hamels Samardzija Kazmir Iwakuma Kennedy Leake Haren Latos Lohse Happ Harang Chapman Benoit Zeigler Clippard Papelbon Grilli K-Rod Jim Johnson Cotts Sorted roughly by value/cost. Pick your favourites! These are just the obvious ones, approaching FA on teams that could be out of it.
  18. I'd probably put a #3/4 ceiling on Sanchez tbh. If he sticks in a rotation at all then it's a positive outcome. Boyd might have a realistic ceiling = to Sanchez, actually.
  19. Needs to keep it down or put it way up. High fastballs can work too!
  20. Burns could still be a player. Might be better than Goins...
