  1. Of course. Odds are pretty bad that Wainwright will get shelled hard enough at home to lift your ERA from 4.1 to 4.5. And even if he does it will be humorous enough to have been worth it.
  2. Rodon in the bullpen is going to be unfair. Might even be worth a promotion. Could be Kimbrel-esque rations.
  3. Jesus Christ, Nelson Cruz already has 8 ding dongs. 8 in 12 games. Look out Barry.
  4. Depends who does it. Like if North did it, as sagacious as he is, we'd have to just assume it was on purpose and punish him accordingly.
  5. I'm probably like the 3rd most trade happy owner in this league. All I do is spin my team in circles with trades. You're obviously just jealous of my 2nd tier prospect depth.
  6. Well, I probably need a C more than anything and unlike most of the other contenders my farm isn't garbage.
  7. Congrats on the debut of your fringe top 100 prospect who might be fantasy relevant ~3 years from now Trade me Mesoraco now. No wait, Santana.
  8. I expected Norris to be mediocre but not horrendous like this. He'll find it though.
  9. Well it's not like they're DFA-ing Hynes. He has options. Entirely possible that they still like him and they just want a long-man for the next little bit, I guess.
  10. Options work on a per-year basis. They can call Delabar down and sent him back up as much as they want this year.
  11. no, there's always time for that. fawwwwwwk DeSclafani looks good in Cincinnatti. I can never spell Cincinatti right... Cincinnati two n's, one t.
  12. Gibbons was talking about the strain on the pen yesterday. This might just be a very short term thing to get some length for the next few games.
  13. lol. no. Escobar was on the edge of the bag, on the edge that faces third. Lawrie actually could have been safe on the play if his primary intention wasn't to take Escobar out. Lawrie ignored the base entirely and went in cleats up, catching Escobar's leg in an awkward position. Only after the collision happened did Lawrie throw his hand on the bag to legitimize his slide. Lawrie is a goof and he deserved to get beaned but he did well to just take it with a smile and not muscle up again, throwing helmets at everybody.
  14. Ugh Boxy don't trade Morrow for Ike Allen Craig and the .277 OPS

Legit #1 overall pick? Hall definitely was. RNH might have been but the Oilers also might have ruined him. Yakupov sucks and that's hard to blame on Edmonton.

I wonder if there's any trade out there that Edmonton would consider accepting. Ekman-Larsson + Domi + pick #3 + Gormley Nylander + Reilly + pick #4 + Kadri + Bernier etc etc etc
  17. Lawrie apologized to Alcides Escobar in text Alcides responded in Spanish saying "that's stupid, you meant to do it" Alcides told the media that he was still waiting for an apology Lawrie showed the media his cell phone with the texts Alcides then showed the Royals PR guy his cell phone with no texts from Lawrie So, either Lawrie got a wrong number and the person he accidentally texted responded in Spanish is if they were Escobar, or Escobar got the texts but then lied about it and then deleted them before showing the PR guy his empty phone. lol
  18. No Twins regulars have a positive fWAR right now. Team leader is Eduardo Nunez with +0.1 in 3 PA.
  19. Hendriks has looked great. Seems like a pretty good decision to not try to sneak him through waivers.
  20. trade me one of your catchers to spruce things up!
  21. Don't worry about it, he magically stopped sucking this offseason.
  22. Mark DeRosa
  23. I'm thinking it was one of those weird GM moves where the analytics group just lets out a collective groan when they hear it's about to happen. Like 90% of what AA does
  24. I always find this line of reasoning so silly. Teams are going to pay free agent money to a reliever just so their in-house reliever doesn't earn near free agent money in arbitration? Makes no sense.
