  1. In context, #2. When you traded Gio he was still a long way off, not nearly the asset he is now. But I still expect Syndergaard to blow out his arm and Longo could/should bounce back.
  2. Last little playoff shuffle up this week. 1. Dinger - 183 wins 2. Silvergun - 181.5 wins 3. Jaysblue - 167 wins 4. me - 164.5 wins 5. min - 161 wins 6. featherD - 160 wins 7. Havok - 156.5 wins 8. North - 145.5 wins - - - - 9. BTS - 137.5 wins Min can flip with jaysblue and end up as high as 3rd. I'd love to catch JB and play whoever ends up 6th. BTS still has a technical chance to sneak in.
  3. I dunno, maybe, but not necessarily. God forbid people be hot in the summer though, lol.
  4. A roof with some transparency would be pretty sweet. Bigger seats sounds amazing and necessary. Throw some cupholders on the back of them while they're at it.
  5. Ryan Goins might be my new favourite Blue Jay. When you combine that sweet defense with a mature, patient approach at the dish, he's easy to like. Do they even make Goins jerseys? I wonder what they could trade Travis for in the offseason...
  6. If someone is consistently unlucky, is it really luck, or are you just a f***ing retard?
  7. Yasmany Tomas is having the quietest season possible by a guy who got a big free agent deal
  8. Mark Teixeira's day-to-day bone bruise thing has now evolved into him needing crutches and it being "more than we thought" to the Yankees.
  9. I've always said that Goins would figure it out at the dish. He has looked like a completely different player in the 2nd half. Smart players figure things out, and you can tell by how he plays D that he's cerebral. He might stick.
  10. I have two extra, #80 and #100. Both yours for a petty little R3->R5 prospect pick upgrade.
  11. Yes. This occurs in extremely small sample sizes, and in volatile environments like amateur baseball and rookie ball. That's pretty much it.
  12. your pessimism knows no bounds
  13. not really, no, not at all
  14. Loup was actually having the best year of his career by far, in terms of skill. His ERA luck was just horrendous, on all fronts (BABIP, HR/FB%, LOB%). Loup is a stud lefty and teams like Tampa are probably already targeting him in offseason trades.
  15. What price level are you going for?
  16. Yeah, but you know there is a 0% chance that they'll even consider doing that.
  17. So assuming a healthy Stroman and a 4 man playoff rotation, who gets bumped? Price Stroman Buehrle Dickey Estrada Hutch Do you just keep the veterans in there and send Hutch/Estrada both to the pen? Most likely, but Estrada and Hutchison have arguably both been better than Dickey this year, and Buehrle might be running out of gas.
  18. Francis makes sense because the current bullpen doesn't have a looooong man that can emergency start or chew up 4-5 innings. Tepera makes sense if they think he's > Delabar, which is a fair opinion. I wonder if the relationship with Delabar is just completely shattered. A lot of his public comments recently have him coming off as quite jaded, ambivalent about the organization in general, and generally unhappy. To quote David Price, #ifyoudontlikeitPITCHbetter
  19. Good idea. I'll probably be in the market for single tickets or a pair of tickets to specific games, if anybody buys a full playoff strip and wants to make some $$ back by selling tickets to a couple of the games. Can PM me maybe.
  20. Basically, they just need to have been in the organization before August 31.
  21. Hyperextended my pinky and came down with fibromyalgia. Can't.
  22. You shouldn't name it anything, unless you call it "the Jacob factor".
  23. Well, there are other good, elite ones. Giolito, Urias, Glasnow, Seager, Gallo, Crawford, Moncada, Berrios, Winker, Mondesi Jr., etc.
  24. Is AJ Reed a top 5 fantasy prospect?
  25. It's over for him. Live fast, die young.
