  1. Good thing there wasn't an umpire in the vicinity.
  2. Bottom line is that hitters better start to work on making adjustments because you will start to see more of these types of defenses, especially the average type hitters.
  3. We've had a ton of hard hit balls right at people the last little while.
  4. Hitters in that Galvis situation need to start making adjustments for the betterment of the team. I'm sorry but you need to really make a conscious effort in going the other way.
  5. Here comes the bunt. it's Grichuk though so i guess its ok.
  6. Kirk 3-3 with a walk and two doubles, OPS now at 1.007 through 15 games in Dunedin. I sure hope this guy turns into something as it appears the bat might be legit.
  7. Just because we have money coming off the books next year doesn't mean you take a $57M flier on a sub .300 OBP type with horrible K/BB rates with average defense over a five year term. I'm sure he could have found someone with more value on the open market easily. There was no rush in signing him to an extension whatsoever. This is just like the Morales signing, except it's worse as it spans out over five years. Rogers will be thrilled when Grichuk is traded in a few years and they swallow half the contract.
  8. I agree. Catcher set up on the outside part of the plate, catcher reaches across borderline inside and still gets the call.
  9. What a trade the Rays made for Archer, Meadows and Glasnow are awesome returns. Any confidence is Atkins maximizing Stroman's trade value if he's moved?
  10. I can't stand it also but that's the game today. I think players will eventually evolve to counter act, but we're in the midst of the transition.
  11. I've seen players get sent down for less years ago.
  12. IMO, evaluating talent goes farther than the math. You have to try and sign players that are highly competitive and play with an edge, they want to win no matter what the circumstances.
  13. Richard has a nice move to first.
  14. s*** like that breeds from somewhere and it's up to management to set the tone, this is the major leagues ffs. Atkins has no clue on how to evaluate talent.
  15. But, but it was a valued extension.
  16. Nevermind the lights or the roof, s*** like that happens. There is no reason for Grichuk to be jogging after the ball after her located it. This organization is rotting from the top down.
  17. Way to hustle after the ball Grichuk. Pathetic effort as they probably hold the runner on third or nail him at the plate if Grichuk hustles after the ball.
  18. It's unreal how the luck can be so one sided when we visit this f***ing dump.
  19. If you think Pearson will be in the minors for three more years, then you're the one who is clueless brother.
  20. Are you being serious right now? Please tell me you're trolling.
