  1. Sorry guys, I've honestly never seen this "magic number" stuff before. I understand how it works, I just don't really see the allure. I just follow the standings and do the math every couple days. If we clinch the division, it won't be until the last week of the season anyways, so it will be really easy to do the math.
  2. Revere hits lefties better, and Pennington is a switch hitter. Darwin Barney is a RH hitter. We still have a RH-heavy lineup.
  3. I'm gonna say Edwin will sit for the whole Atlanta series. He hurt the finger on his glove hand, so its not a good idea to have him manning 1st right now. Smoak and Cola will fill in at 1st just fine. Atlanta sux
  4. I agree with this, but i don't see us trading Bautista. He'll probably be a Jay for life.
  5. Yeah i've never seen this "magic number" stuff in my life. I personally don't really see the point of it. Win as many games as possible, that's the bottom line.
  6. I'm with you. Not sure why people want Price on a 200 million dollar contract. We already have quite a bit of money committed to aging guys (Martin, Tulo). There's a whole slew of pitching options this offseason that would be better deals than Price.
  7. Still don't understand this nonsense
  8. Nah. He'll probably get something like 5/100 still
  9. I don't understand where you pulled these numbers from, or what exactly they are supposed to mean.
  10. Travis had a 155 wRC+ for July (after coming back from the DL). He was hitting very well until he re-injured the shoulder.
  11. And Saunders...
  12. No. Pennington plays 2nd
  13. Exactly.
  14. Guys, this injury sucks but this doesn't affect our playoff chances too much. Goins and Pennington will provide excellent D up the middle and we still have Revere, Donaldson, Jose, Edwin, Martin, Smoak and Colabelo. Jays will be fine.
  15. Interesting.
  16. I think people are going a bit overboard with giving Travis the "chronic injury" tag. The dude hurt his shoulder and then came back too early and re-agrivated the injury. I don't think the shoulder thing will bother him at all next year.
  17. Gonna be a tough series for sure. The rain and potential double-header(s) just make thing worse...
  18. So you would rather have Thole?
  19. I don't think the Yankees are keen on taking anymore contracts THAT long-term. Chris Davis fits in my opinion. Or someone like Nelson Cruz.
  20. Sorry man. Wasn't trying to start anything. I just seriously can't believe that this is an Orioles fan, given how much he comes back here and posts every night. It seemed like an alt to me because he seems to know some of these other posters too well. Either way, I think he should be banned so we can move on.
  21. I'm assuming you mean Yankees. And I do believe yanks will sign him. They can play him at 1B/DH after Arod/Tex/Beltran are gone in 2017. Yeah it will be a struggle to find him a good position for 2016, but he fits right into the Yanks roster 2017 and beyond. EDIT: just checked and wow Arod is signed through 2017! Lol jesus
