    Idk I just think he’s injured so often that he doesn’t get to actually settle in or work on anything, so he never gets better. His command is awful which leads to him throwing fastballs middle middle which get smashed. He’s only on this team because the bullpen isn’t very good to begin with.

    I would assume the contract was insured, yes. And I would assume Jays aren’t on the hook for the full 20m next year. Should have that extra money to play with this offseason. We are far enough away from the luxury tax that it won’t hinder the FO

    That is fair. I just think he’s using Richards way too much right now in close games. He has been terrible

    This has been a problem for Charlie’s entire tenure as manager. He goes all in/uses bullets when we’re leading by 5… but if we’re losing by 1 he’ll use the worst gutter trash we have in the bullpen. Almost every time the Jays offense comes back and scores a few runs too, but by that point the game is usually out of reach

    130 pitches. Didn’t even take him out after the hit. Idk, this could backfire spectacularly. Marmol has a penchant for riding guys too hard. Hopefully Mikolas doesn’t come down with some sort of injury.

    Its been proven that its slower than just sprinting through. Only reason to slide at first is to avoid a tag if the first baseman has to come off the bag.

    Yep. Richards is this year’s Chatwood, Charlie just keeps f***ing using him in close games.

    Idk, Kooch just reminds me so much of Robbie Ray (pre-2021) He’ll have bad starts where his command is non-existent and he’ll have great starts where he looks like an ace.

    Yeah and he just keeps going to him too. For multiple innings. Charlie is either: A. Trying to prove to the front office that Richards sucks to get him off the roster B. Trying to use Richards more often to “get his confidence back” (but at what cost??) or C. Charlie is too f***ing dumb to realize how bad Richards has been and keeps acting as if he’s a good reliever. My money is on C sadly

    I feel like Zimmer’s defense and speed are a bit overrated too? Haven’t checked numbers but its not like he’s Buxton/JBJ/Keirmaer out there. And his bat is probably one of the worst in the majors. Not worth a roster spot IMO.

    The upcoming series against the Yanks has like a 30% sway in the division win % odds I think. I read that somewhere… like if the Jays get swept their division win goes to like 10% and if the Jays sweep the Yanks it goes up to like 40% or something.
