  1. Probably somewhere between Corey Dickerson and Randall Grichuk? Kinda like when Harper played CF a few times in his younger days
  2. Yeah makes sense, with Bo out we have no backup SS
  3. Day-to-day but apparently Otto Lopez is at the dome taking fielding practice and BP… Maybe they roster him for a few days while Bo and Chapman are day-to-day, or maybe they think a DL stint is coming
  4. Gotta love the fact that Bo and Chapman both got injured at the same time
  5. Yeah and that would have worked out spectacularly. Ah well. I still think Kikuchi can turn it around and give us similar production to what Matz gave us last year. Extra 12.5 million to Verlander probably means they don’t trade for Chapman, or have less flexibility at the trade deadline. Who knows
  6. Obviously would have meant not signing one of Kikuchi/Gausman, not sure which.
  7. The Jays were very close to signing Verlander apparently. Had the same offer on the table as Houston. https://www.espn.com/mlb/insider/insider/story/_/id/34101192/from-tommy-john-cy-young-form-39-justin-verlander-unprecedented-return-dominance "Houston was at the top of the list," Verlander said. "As negotiations started going, they kind of fell off. Some other teams really started to show a lot of interest. I would say that the leader was probably Toronto. They were great. And I talked to George (Springer, his former Astros teammate now with the Blue Jays) a bunch. They were very proactive to the point that when I signed with Houston, I made sure to let them know that I appreciated it all. Ultimately, when it came down to it, Houston had the same offer. It was all kind of ballpark between them and Toronto, and New York (Yankees) was kind of always just a step behind."
  8. No, as far as I know if the pick isn’t signed they can’t use that money and they lose that slot amount from their overall draft pool. This prevents punting picks in order to sign someone overslot.
  9. Oooof yeah that sucks. At least the other 3 were good games?
  10. Vlad gonna GO OFF this weekend
  11. Thanks. Yeah just hoping we don’t get swept this weekend honestly.
  12. He’s a cheater, he picked Springer first and then changed it Jk i’m salty
  13. Rotation has been up and down all year to this point, only Manoah has been consistently great. Berrios started afwul and now he’s pitching a lot better. Gausman has been the opposite. Pitching badly now. Ryu was hit or miss, Stripling has been great in his few starts. Kikuchi looked pretty good for a few weeks and now can barely throw a strike. Hopefully they get on track soon. If Kikuchi can’t throw strikes the Yankees are going to throat him in the first inning.
  14. Yeah not like 6-4 isn’t a 0.667 win pace or anything… obviously want to beat up on weaker teams but that doesn’t always happen in baseball. This is not a “catastrophe” like Horse ass is trying to frame it
  15. You’re right, Jays probably cost themselves a playoff spot this week… sucks. Ah well. You can stop watching the games now. See you next year bud!
  16. Game 1 - Slugfest for Jays Game 2 - Os win 1 run game Game 3 - Jays win 1 run game Game 4 - Slugfest for Os Beesbol
  17. That first game was tight and yeah Jays could have won with 1 or 2 bounces their way... f*** the Trop
  18. I believe their reasoning was that the number 1 seed doesn't end up facing a division winner in the ALDS. But like you said, that could mean Yanks vs Jays/Rays instead of Whitesox which is probably a weaker team.
  19. Agreed. Plus whoever wins that WC1/WC2 series likely has to face the Yanks in the ALDS
  20. Yeah nah the higher seed gets the full 3 game series at home. Huge advantage IMO
