  1. Also sometimes player just want the 1/2 year opt-out. Bo probably still gets 200m next offseason in a weaker FA class, and he comes out of this ahead by 1yr/47m
  2. A step back offensively, but a step forward defensively. Clement at 2B is objectively better than Bo with the glove. I personally would’ve probably gone like 8/250 for Bo, but we really don’t know if he even wanted to come back here.
  3. Cheating Beltran - OK Cheating Bonds - Fk that PoS
  4. But I was told nobody cares about the Dodgers throwing piles of money around?? Surely there can’t be anyone on this message board that might be wrong?
  5. Give him a long-term deal with opt-outs and hope he opts after a great year. Everyone wins.
  6. We know for a fact they Jays were interested last time he was a free agent, before he signed w the Cubs. So i wouldn’t be surprised if they are actively trying to sign him. He’s really the only player available rn that could move the needle aside from Valdez.
  7. While true, you could say that about a lot of players on the roster. In the case of Bo, just replacing him with Gimenez at SS probably results in no more than a 2 WAR difference. We just need to make that 2 WAR up somewhere else
  8. I feel like the fit is only weird because of Springer’s resurgence. Springer looked like a potential bench piece going into 2025 and we didn’t know he’d be a worthy full-time DH
  9. Loll. To be fair you also took a shot at Santander saying he was a panic signing, hence the defense posts
  10. If he can’t play CF then you don’t sign him. That’s really the only key factor here IMO. Im not sure how his defense grades out at the moment
  11. 10 years for Tucker is riskier than 6-7 for Bellinger. This is a literal former MVP we are talking about. I understand he doesn’t seem to be that player anymore, but I firmly believe his abysmal 2021 season was due to the shoulder injury. And I don’t think Santander was a stupid move, he’s exactly the type of bat we needed last year. He can still be that power bat we need this year. Bellinger would give us a CF for 2027 which we currently dont have. In this instance you probably let Varsho walk unless his market craters.
  12. Do something like 7/200 with an opt-out after year 2. Probably come out ahead and get out of his decline years in that scenario lol.
  13. I think i’d do it. Helps solidify the OF for next year with CF being in question. Gives us a better bat to stick in the top half of the lineup. His 2025 numbers were pretty similar to his career norms (minus his terrible 2021 and MVP 2019)
  14. Yeah that’s an insane injury and recovery time lol. What a guy
  15. If only we could combine Santander and Gimenez into a single player lol
  16. I agree, the offseason so far feels incomplete after losing Bo and not replacing him with a bat to plug in the top of the lineup
  17. I think Skubal is one also. No conflict of interest there lol
  18. Yup. Maybe Okamoto is our best hitter next year. Maybe Varsho becomes the leadoff hitter. You really never know. Lets not forget, we began 2025 with Gimenez as our cleanup hitter lol.
  19. Yeah, there were signs that Bo didn’t really want to come back here. It is what it is. Its frustrating that we always seem 1 more piece away from having a perfect offseason. Like yes this was a great offseason, but feels like we needed 1 finishing touch to put the cherry on top. Kinda feels like we may be done.
  20. I hope we don’t massively overpay for Bellinger now…
  21. Yup and he can still sign a long-term when he hits free agency again at age 30. This sucks, i wonder if 8/250 would have been enough
  22. But i was told the Dodgers are good for baseball!!!
  23. This just makes me even more angry that we let the Dodgers steal the WS from us when it was RIGHT. THERE. Hopefully they get bounced in the DS this year and we don’t need to hear any more “threepeat” nonsense
