  1. If both of these guys are returning, im gonna go ahead and say 2024 will be a shitshow. Like Whitesox level circus
  2. Ugh. Seems like another wasted season already.
  3. Thats the nastiest homer of the playoffs so far
  4. Just imagine how different things would have been had we signed one of Nimmo or Bellinger. Probably no KK or Varsho. Gurriel would have stayed. Lineup would have been completely different. Sigh
  5. Yup. Like… did he miss the entire 2021 postseason? The braves won because of those trades. 2015 Mets with Cespedes?? 2016 Cubs with Zobrist?? 2018 Redsox? Does Atkins even watch baseball?
  6. Incoming Bassitt TJS
  7. Yeah doesn’t sound good. Honestly if Atkins stays at this point, im kinda expecting a disaster season for 2024. Offense stays the same, pitching not as good, Manoah doesn’t make a single start, all coaches remain, etc.
  8. So we pretty much agree on everything. Lets hope the front office can fix the damn offense
  9. If Baltimore won I would f***ing puke
  10. 95% of the remaining money should be pumped into the lineup this offseason IMO. We have 3B, 2B and LF to fill, and probably could do with another 1B/DH type too. Rotation is fine, probably should add a 4th/5th starter for some depth. We currently have Manoah, White, Francis, and Tiedemann as 5th starter/depth. Bullpen is fine IMO, i’d try to retain Green and maybe swing another Hicks-type trade at the deadline if needed.
  11. Need more small ball duhh
  12. They won’t hire a manager that will push back.
  13. Well luckily we have 4 rotation spots pretty much locked for the foreseeable future.
  14. It was clear as day when JS started making the same moves Charlie used to make. Both just puppets. The front office runs the games.
  15. Grown a pair and get fired if they end up still losing because the offense can’t score?? He should grow a pair and lose his job over this?? That’s stupid dude, come on. Place your frustration on the front office.
  16. Its funny how Chapman had 2 pivotal batted balls that ended up JUST short and JUST foul…. pretty much the same way his entire season has gone. Those 2 games really summarized the whole season. They showed the same strengths and weaknesses we had all season long.
  17. Yeah Rogers must be furious they couldn’t at least take it to the ALDS and get 1-2 home games. That’s a huge chunk of revenue they were probably promised in exchange for the 200+ million payroll
  18. I would guess they don’t even have a way to factor that into the equation. They probably see it as a non-issue. Player A/Player B situation. And therein lies the problem.
  19. We did better than the Yankees, Mets, Angels and Padres in the expectations-results department. That’s about it. Woohoo.
  20. Right, and those failures are magnified in the postseason. I don’t really like the move with Berrios, but like you’ve been saying its not the reason we lost. Wonder how strong the blowback on the Berrios move would’ve been if we win the game 3-2.
  21. Fire Atkins, give Click the reins. 2 more years of Bo and Vlad, things need to change NOW.
  22. I thought you loved to condemn small sample sizes??
  23. When have we actually done anything right in the Shatkins era though? Its 3 postseason appearances in a row now where questionable in-game decisions have cost us. 2020 - the Shoemaker/Ray thing - leaving Ryu on the mound to die in game 2 2022 - pulling Gausman in favor of Mayza - Tapia into the game instead of JBJ 2023 - pulling Berrios early - never giving Schneider a PH opportunity
